There is no cure. I find only two things work, time and keeping busy. Once you have suffered from depression I believe you are more vulnerable to it happening again. On the positive side, once you have had it, you get better at recognising the signs and can help yourself at an earlier stage before things get too bad. Also talking to someone helps. A trouble shared is a trouble halved etc. I find the hardest part is admitting i am struggling to cope. I try and hide it inside and the problem gets worse. So my advice is tell someone how you are feeling, talk to them about why you are feeling this way (if you know why). Give yourself time to get better, you can not rush this and in the meantime, keep busy. Good luck.

Unfortunately, one cannot speak of "curing" most emotional disorders, including depression. One can aim to control, and keep under control, the symptoms of these disorders, including depression. The best and most effective way of accomplishing this is with the use of antidepressant medications, good medical (including psychiatric) follow-up, some counseling or psychotherapy, education of the patient and family, etc. Freud used to talk about "curing" these things. So did other doctors belonging to Freud's generation. But that's because they were eager to think that the only treatment available, talk therapy, could actually get to (if developed sufficiently) cure these conditions. Time has proven them wrong. But one can obtain a good response of depression and other emotional disorders to available treatment, not including completely removing the conditions.

Depression cannot be cured, you just have to deal with what issue is making you feel down and pray. Unfortunately, if the problem isn't solved, the depression will keep coming back.

It helps to talk about it, see a professionalxxx Good luck!

It depends on the source and how long you've had it. It might need medication, therapy, or a combination of the two.

Drink more water and eat less sugar. Get some protein and a good multivitamin.

Sometimes you just have to force yourself to do something that you should do but you don't want to. Start with one little thing, like answering the phone once a day, or emailing your congressman about something you feel like discussing.

I think action is the best cure.

There are lots of different kinds of depression. Some are mild cases of the "blues" and some are a real chemical imbalance. First acknowledging that you are depressed and recognizing the signs of you slipping into that state are a start to getting yourself out of it. Deciding that you do not want to be in this state rather than wallowing in it is another part of the way to get yourself out of it. Depression is anger turned inward. Think long and hard about what you could be angry about and when you figure it out let yourself be darn good and mad. You deserve it. You have the right to be mad. Then be done with it. Force yourself to bathe and groom yourself marvelously. Get lots of sunlight and fresh air. Exercise. Most people can walk. Make yourself do it. Make yourself do one thing a day that you must do. It is hard, but the alternative is staying curled in a ball in a dark room staring at the wall. If you can do the things I suggested than you are now in control again, a little bit more each day. Then when you lie in bed at night, think of 3 things that you are thankful for. You will then be clawing your way out of what I call the black hole of depression. A little bit at a time and with no chemicals taken. Remember you have to want to do this. Life is worth living.

Depression is caused by having a discouraged view of life as it affects you. The cure is to live in love. This means to live your life by being of benefit to others. You never see anyone depressed who is pouring out their life gifts to help and make life good for others. Such people are always full of life and busy with things that bring joy and fulfilment.

keepin yourself busy. I know it's hard because when ur depressed u dont wanna do anything. Keep a clean house I find this and less clutter everywhere makes it a better. Try not to worry about the little things that dont really matter. I find myself just sitting there sometimes worrying about the stupidist things. I'm not depressed myself but do get a bit stressed sometimes. Hope thats helped.

I'd say start with a full physical check up with your doctor, and inform him/her about your depression, then just keep busy, find your passion, and gather with friends often. Make new friends and get involved with your community. Allow the doors of opportunity to open for you and challenged your talents. Who knows who you will meet. Keep your attitude positive, and keep positive people around you. Eliminate any negative behaviours and/or people who do not enhance your growth. Listen to cheerful music and maybe even do a dance workout 20 minutes a day or every other day, alone, or invite friends to join in. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I was for 3 years after i had my first baby
force yourself to get out of bed in the morning
Get dressed and put on some make up then get busy on anything you can find even if it is doing the dishes.
then go for a walk and think about why you r feeling bad. I promise getting physical when your emotions are on the low side alwas works. Then, even if you dont feel like it take a pen and write the sun came out this morning to please me. Or i was looking so sad this morning that the rain started falling on my head cause the clouds wanted to tickle me. Make sure you don;t tell yourself negative things. I was feeling pretty low last monday cause it was my bday and for the past moth its been this close to snowing where i live Freezing and low and behold on my bday the sun came out and I thanked god for the best gift i ever got. Self centred i know but why not. Who says that sun was not meant for me that day. think that you are special and you will be.

I am sorry. You can't. I suffer from depression. I went on the anti-depressants but just felt like I was dead. Then anxiety set in, and I feel it better to be depressed than battling anxiety every day! I understand your problem, please, just find something deep inside yourself that has something to live for, and chase it hard as u can!! People love you - even if you feel unlovable. Take care
