Obviously you can't receive an authoritative diagnosis with any certainty on this web site. A clinical diagnosis is necessary to determine if you have depression.
The symptoms you described may or may not be caused by depression. A list of symptoms may help give you a better idea whether or not you have depression, and I've listed a couple of them, as well as screening tests for depression, below.
I recommend that you find a mental health professional (personal references are best) if these symptoms continue to bother you or have bothered you for more than two weeks.

It depends....that's not an easy question to answer. Those are some symptoms associated with depression but you may not be depressed at all. You could just be a person who needs a little more "mental stimulation". Find out what interests you, try to find some hobbies that may broaden your circle of friends. This might help you.
To really determine whether you are depressed, you should focus on what you think about. If you feel like you need help, NEVER be afraid to reach out to a counselor or trusted friend.

It sounds to me like you do have some symptoms of depression. But most importantly, do you think you are depressed? If you think you are depressed then you probably are. Depression exhibits itself differently in each individual who is experiencing it. Do you find you no longer get satisfaction out of activities you formerly enjoyed? Do you feel withdrawn, general malaise and avoid doing everyday tasks like getting dressed, showering, eating, etc.? If you think you may be depressed, see your general doctor first. He can help make a diagnosis and prescribe medicine if he thinks it may be helpful. However, be aware that many studies have shown that taking medicine alone is not that effective in treating depression. Therapeutic counseling combined with medicine is much more effective. Most insurance plans have coverage for psychiatric and mental health services. Call your provider to find out. If not, most communities also offer low cost or free mental health services. You can usually call a local hospital to find out who offers these services or you county social service agency. If you ever feel like hurting yourself or attempting suicide, you should call 911, your doctor or a trusted friend immediately! Depression does get better but it starts with making the first step towards getting help! Good luck to you and hang in there!

It sounds very much like you are depressed. Ask your self the possible maybe's as to what could be bothering you.
Obviously sleeping badly leaves you totally washed out.
Check out the thoughts you have and try and link them together to make sense of your troubles.
Try to find someone with a brain who cares enough to help you feel better about life etc.

Sounds like you've got the symptoms yes. However you don't tell us your age. I went through a period like this during my teens. Not that I'm belittling it at all because it was awful. I did however grow out of it. To be honest though you'd be better off getting down to the doctors rather than posting questions on here. Depression is a serious illness.

Have you always felt like this or is it something thats just come on.
you could try taking St Johns Wort available at chemist and health shops. it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to start working if that doesn't work i suggest you see your doctor he may give you a blood test to make sure you haven't got thyroid problems or you could be anaemic.
Hope things work out for you!

This is a very good blog, a beginner’s guide to abnormal psychology.
Short, clear and simple; and you can even post your question and contact the author regarding particular subject you are interested in

You might be. Are these things that you once enjoyed doing that you are getting bored with? Talk to your GP and he/she will be able to look more into it with you.
