You'll need professional help. Check your local social services. There are many therapists that work on a sliding fee or can be free if they're supported by United Way.

I was molested when I was young and was not given therapy. I wish I had been in therapy though. I'm grateful for my teetotaler boyfriend who swayed me from taking the "usual path" of those who have been molested ie drugs, being promiscuous, while I was a teenager.

It will effect you the rest of your life, but you can work through it. I'm afraid that Yahoo answers won't be able to heal your pain.

I think you should definately see someone, or talk to someone. This is a very serious issue, and although it may be painful, you need to work through it and confront your past.
You also need to tell the police and get that jerk put away.

Good luck, you have a pretty tough road agead, but with people there to support you, you will come out a better (and more relieved) person.

cheers

I hope you aren't seeking therapy because you are embarrassed. There are 100s of people that are in your shoes. There are support groups all over the world.

If it is still an option. The person that caused you this harm needs to be punished to the fullest.

If your cousin is that imply to you, she's by and large jealous or insecure herself. You are not able to fear approximately what different humans say approximately you, due to the fact that it is typically their predicament. Even supermodels get known as unsightly routinely. You're lovely!

I know you said you couldn't do it, but you need professional help. The problems you experience now do not go away magically and the more you sit on them and dwell on them the more they will haunt you.

Don't be afraid of therapy; it does NOT mean you are crazy. I admire someone who can ask for help because it takes guts, it really does. Sitting and doing nothing is the easy way out.

Best of luck to you.

i hear you sister! i was molested all through my childhood by my uncle and its a long story but i did eventually have therapy and i was able to stand face to face with him after 30 years and say im not scared of you any more and you cant hurt me any longer. then a few years after that i came across a book in a used book store called 'The Thorn of Sexual Abuse' by Beth Sterling. i cant describe in words how much healing has taken place and understanding through education. this book for me ended all of the questions i ever had asked myself about my uncle. i was finally able to have closure and let that part of my life be healed.

Why can you not seek professional help? Therapy for crime victims is free. Get yourself to a Crime Victims Assistance Center and start therapy immediately. Best of luck to you.

You still need counseling .There is no way you can do this alone .
I hope you can confront this abuser some day and tell him/her how they ruined your life .
You have a lot more living to do ,get this resolved so you can have a normal LOVING RELATIONSHIP with someone .
This will be your greatest revenge to the abuser is to be HAPPY and in LOVE.

This is a very good blog, a beginner’s guide to abnormal psychology.
Short, clear and simple; and you can even post your question and contact the author regarding particular subject you are interested in
