Mental Health - September 2006

As I get older, I start to forget things. I mean it's difficult to retain new information!!! Not only that, I have difficulty concentrating. Can someone help me? Please be nice... I'm taking some courses and I can use all the help I can get. By the way, I'm 38 years old and getting older... obviously. Thanks in advance.

It's my birthday tommorrow.
Today I talked to my mom about my birthday when we are both in the house. She ignored me. I repeated myself 3 times, she still ignored me. I feel so sad, so hurt. I hate her.

I for some reason lately have no desire to be touched or if when I am close I stop competely because I feel I dont want to finish.
It is not the boy, it is me and I am scared because I am pushing him away and he thinks its him but really its me. I have never been molested or raped so its not like I have had a bad sexual encounter before...pls help.........its getting out of hand....I have spoken to him about it but he doesent understand. Any reasons this could be happening and any suggestions to make it easier for me to want to finish...

I have a ton going on in my life right now and feel overwhelmed not sure if it will help. I want to make sure i don't just get some one that is in it for the money. That might sound weird being as you know its their profession but i want some one that is gonna try to help.

I have trouble concentrating when I read and tend to fall asleep every time I pick up a book to study. Every Time! I do read some of it but I get distracted and start to daydream and fantisize about stuff and then dose off. This is really hurting my studies and grades. Can Anyone give me any advice as to concentrate more as I read? I think a lot about stupid stuff and especially sex. This is not a joke. I'm a guy who is a virgin. Could this be my problem? Honest and serious advice please.

I dont wanna become dependant on a pill, I need something that works in a natural way. I feel like just taking my life. Im so very depressed and sad. I have been having severe panic attacks for 2+ weeks now. I am a mom of 2 boys (1 & 2) a fulltime college student and my longtime bf left us 2 weeks ago. I cannot function due to the severity of the attacks. My Dr. prescribed 25mg of Visteril and it DOESN'T work..I need something stronger like XANAX to chill me out when they hit..I am afraid that I WILL go over the edge soon..how do i get the Dr. to give me XANAX? They look at me as if I am drug seeking which I am not I really need the help right now.. I do have a history of mental illness and have previously been medicated for Bipolar and mood disorder. Thanks for any info..

Senario: girlfriends mother extreemly strict about boyfriends. She wont have it, but only 'just as friends'. Mother doesn't know of our superb on going relationship. I swear, and thats perfectly fine by her. But its a big no-no for mother. I think her mother checked out my g.f.'s phone, and emails, and found out bout us, & inevitably copped abit of swearing. Well, i dont know what has happened, but i presume that cuz g.f. sent me an email (in caps) "dont ever email me again". I think she's upset (and upset heaps). So obviously i think her mother just found out. The ******* stupid ******* woman got her **** into what she shouldn't have. So, talking to g.f. is gonna be hard--she never picks up her phone. What should i do? I DONT WANTA LOOSE HER

Everytime I get into an airplane I get panic attacks. I feel a cannot freeze, cant see though the window, cant ever walk thru the airline.
I also feel the plane is going to crash, all the time... It usually starts when we are departuring...and feel in a very small place, feel that I need to get out...Also, it happens when I'm in high rise floor, I get dizzy...I dont know what do to regarding this..any medication I should take?? Please help!

I have more anxiety than depression, I think, because I have lots of problems in social situations and a terrible time sleeping--can't turn off my brain. I'm also underweight. Going back to dr Monday, and she's going to prescribe something. I'd like your opinions on Zoloft and Wellbutrin, if you've taken both. Thanks

I just started taking Lexpro and I am unable to reach an orgasm, Im a guy, this is a first for me. Taking a ssir is also a first.

What I want to know is, has anyone gone through this before, and will it go away in time. Not reaching an orgasm is, well, depressing.

there is one god. one spirit, and one soul in each of us and three hundred religous ways of religion. wonder why, god does nt spell it out, and speak to us, dirrectly., and not put it in just one man, s vision,at one time in history, then another mans vision, and this way and that way, wonder why god wont just come and speak to us dirrectly?I quess he can thru the spirit, if we listen but I am talking about a powerfull voice in the sky speaking to us, something like that. god can do anything he wonts . wonder why it has to be so much contriversy about which religion is best, mine is better then yours, no mine is better then all of yours, and so on.i know christians will say , ow jesus said this, and muslims will say, this man said that, I dont know really, I just wish god would come to me and say , live this way , do this thing, this is the RIGHT way, but with all the religions, it gets kind of all bass ackwards in my mind sometimes, I have faith in god, is that enough, ?

hey, i go downtown every once in a while...i love the library but i dont understand their parking system. is there ever a time when u do not have to pay the parking fee? is there a time like after 6-4am or something like that? Im not quite sure how it works.
