This is a particularly volatile and "flexible" time in your life when you are just starting to figure a lot of things out in preparation for adulthood, so it's only natural for a lot of confusion and indecision to be present in your mind. It's better to question things and to try many different ways of looking at everything than to become stuck and rigid in your thinking, so the fact that you are turning things over in your mind and feeling "differently" a lot is not necessarily a bad thing at all. You're growing, and growth is never an easy, clearly-marked straight line.

I remember being 17 (ages ago) and having some of the same feelings. There's a lot of confusion in your life at that time - and worries also. You have to make some big decisions in your life. Take the time to set some short term goals and make plans to meet them (ie - if you want to go to college, you need to work on your grades, choose possible careers, research colleges, etc.). That should help you feel a little more at ease. If the anxiety and the mood changes continue, you may want to seek medical help.

You could be bi-polar. What I suggest you do is talk to a mental health professional about your situation, and maybe they can prescribe a mood stabilizer for you. I hope this helps, good luck.

Your hormones are kicking in, as you are becoming an adult. Sometimes hormones can imbalance blood sugar. If it goes too low (with low being relative from person to person), it can cause mood changes.
www.hufa.org has some basic info on low blood sugar, and how to self test for it.
