If this is a fear you wish to overcome the best way in my opinion would be Counseling. That would help you recognize why you are afraid of flying. Then when you are ready take a flight see you are as safe or safer then driving. Once you have recognized why you have the fear and then confronted it you will have dealt with it and then can put it behind you. Good luck.

Try Xanax for Anxiety!
There are courses, clinics and therapies that can help you overcome your fear of flying. One of the best is the seven-step take-home course offered on the website www.anxieties.com by psychologist R. Reid Wilson, the founder of American Airlines' Fearful Flyers program.

Well some yeaars ago I was afraid of flying and I asked the Dr. for something to calm me down during the flight. Something like diazepam would do the trick. Go to your GP and tell him how you feel. I am glad to say that nowadays I don't mind flying. I have been to the USA, Canada, etc. and I wasn't worried at all.
