i have patellofemural pain syndrome.
i have gone to a physical therapist, i do the exercises, and NOTHING helps. icing doesnt help, heating doesnt help, knee braces dont help & the exercises dont help. (but i still do them)
i`m very active - basketball, dance & volleyball pretty much dominate my life, so i`m constintly doing something.

what do you suggest i do? because i`ve been to the doctor many times & the pain is just getting worse and worse.

The pain stopped a little on the 3rd day, but now the pain is extreme. Could it just be that I irritated the stitches or could I have done something really bad to the stitches like riped them open?

So yesterday, I decided I needed to get back into running shape. I haven't really run for an extended period of time for awhile. I was going to start off small, but once I started running I felt fine and was surprised about that, so I kept going. I didn't feel any pain while running-and only a little a few hours later. But I woke up this morning with very bad calf pain. Is this just from not using my calf muscles to that extent for awhile? Will this start feeling better soon? It's quite hard to walk normally to push with my toes. Does anyone have any tips to help reduce this pain (ice, stretching, etc?)

Ever since around 5pm today I've had this deep, dull but painful pain that won't go away from my hand all the way up to my right shoulder blade and it's killing me. It's feels kind of like I have no blood in there (obviously not true, it's just really hard to describe it). I go on the computer alot throughout the day, including a class where I type non-stop for an hour.
Massaging it helps, but the pain does not subside.
I'm almost 15.

Any ways to make this pain go away, or at least feel better!?
Thanks

Hi. I was just wondering if living in AZ really does help with arthritis. Is it dry heat year round? Do you still need to take meds? Just curious. Thanks!

Chiropractors don't seem to help. Its a lower back pain that radiates through my hip and down through the back of my leg. I understand it is a pinching of my sciatic nerve but I don't want and will not seek surgery. I need to try less invasive tactics.
I want to hear from people that have experienced these symptoms and how they went about treating it.

I appear and look like a pretty healthy young male and am, except that i have a number of problems all relating to weak muscles. I've seen Physical therapists for a number of things (imbalanced or tight muscles due to muscle weakness) that are a result of sitting at my desk the whole day at work, yet others that are not physically active at all and dont have the same problems . The therapists give me a few exercises to target those muscles..but ive always seen a chiropractor b/c of weak muscles around my back my spine wont stay aligned...along with many problmes over the years such a a weaker jaw which results in a slight case of tmj, fallen arches due to weak arch muscles, and yet i try to do yoga, work out pretty often yet dont anymore cuz theres so many small exercises i have to do for parts of my body that unless i had half a day to work out like some rock star its hard to find the time. my Dr said its just the way i am but there must be some answer or deficiency to my body?help

I've had a pain on my right shoulder for about a month now and my right arm feels like the circulation cuts off at times. Does someone have any guesses to what this could be?

For the past 2 weeks I started getting throbbing pain in my left leg with exposure to cold weather. At my home I'm mostly okay, but when I start walking outside, I feel like limping because of the pain. When my leg warms up with the heater or a blanket when I get home, it feels better and I can jump around. There isn't a physical pain in the leg, but seems like my nerves act up and it throbs. Any suggestions? Going to see the doctor soon for a second time, hoping for a referral to a specialist.

I have just gotten out of my 3rd treatment facility and did 5months in a halfway house. I need to find some sites that offer support and maybe even some doctors who can help with severe heroin and morphine addiction. I am having a lot of trouble with this I have been clean off and on for a month here and there, but if I cannot get off of this **** it is going to kill me. any suggestions would be appriciated.

One of my really good friends has a problem with his knees. Every time someone kicks him in the knees he just drops on the floor in pain. He says it will eventually go away over time. He also says that he cant get taller, only when the disease starts fading. Im sure the disease will go away in a couple of years. Can someone please tell me what this disease is called?

This is supposed to be excruciatingly painful surgery/recovery and I know that they won't give him enough morphine or whatever pain killers after the first few days. People who have had this surgery say the horrible pain lasts for weeks.

What are some methods or natural things that will really help with the severe pain he is going to have? Thanks in advance.

the pain is not of the skin but rather of something close to the bone that when pressed in a particular way I feel a short pang of pain - sometimes its sends pain down my finger to my hand. other than these moments of pain my hand is absolutely fine!? If anyone has clue as to what this could be I would be very grateful for you to let me know. Many thanks

And if you have tried it, have you had any side effects?
Me, I had pain in my ankles, my body was feeling achy and very sleepy. I thought that this pill was suppose to relieve the pain. Not make you feel worse. Also, I was not concentrating very well on things. I had to stop taking it before I got worse. Now I have to wait for something else. I was hoping that this pill would of relieve the pain. Thankyou very much for your answers. May God bless all of you and Happy Holidays.

I'm having an upper endoscopic surgery done on Dec 21st.
I work in retail and have to talk alot. I hear that my throat and stomach will be really sore for awhile.

How long does it usually take to recover (to the point where I can talk for 8 hours without hurting)?
How long should I wait to go back to work??

Look I live with a chronic bad back and while I try to do without medicine sometimes the pain is so blinding it feels like I'm a puppet with its strings cut...Still the doctors only answer is to load me up on powerful "dont care about anything narcotics"...Of which I rarely take...

I feel some pain is useful it tells me I have to be careful and not over do...but when I'm on the doctor pills I forget I cant do somethings any more and sure enough I'll do something foolish then spend weeks wishing I had taken the pills...

So what do you all think? should we really be trying to knock out all pain or is a little reminder helpful?
