For the past 2 weeks I started getting throbbing pain in my left leg with exposure to cold weather. At my home I'm mostly okay, but when I start walking outside, I feel like limping because of the pain. When my leg warms up with the heater or a blanket when I get home, it feels better and I can jump around. There isn't a physical pain in the leg, but seems like my nerves act up and it throbs. Any suggestions? Going to see the doctor soon for a second time, hoping for a referral to a specialist.

Sound like you have PAD, the arteries are hardening with age and cholesterol.

I know that you can put cayenne pepper in your socks to keep your feet warm... Maybe you could put capsasian cream on you leg where it hurts before you go out? It REALLY warms the skin that it is rubbed into. Just make sure you don't touch your eyes until you wash your hands really well.
