Ever since around 5pm today I've had this deep, dull but painful pain that won't go away from my hand all the way up to my right shoulder blade and it's killing me. It's feels kind of like I have no blood in there (obviously not true, it's just really hard to describe it). I go on the computer alot throughout the day, including a class where I type non-stop for an hour.
Massaging it helps, but the pain does not subside.
I'm almost 15.

Any ways to make this pain go away, or at least feel better!?
Thanks

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is often mistaken for pain in wrists, hands, fingers when in truth, it is always characterized by severe numbness in all finger tips except the pinky. It is rare that your wrist even hurt with CTS so this is not what you have.

Sounds to me like you need to rest your arm/shoulder (right) and take an Advil as another poster stated. Also, drink lots of water (muscles love it) and give it 24 hours. Talk to your Mother (or Father) and if it still persists this time tomorow then get an appts with an ORS or possibly your IM (internists) for xrays - could be a pulled muscle.

BTW, another poster mentioned that it is against the law to recommend an OTC (over-the-counter) product. Actually, I am not trying to be argumentative, but it is not against the law to recommend to someone an OTC product. Taking an Aleve, Advil, Tylenol is not much different than taking Flintstone vitamins.... How do I know...? I'm 40 and experienced. That's how I know. I'm not even sure one could get in trouble if recommending a Rx product.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

I was diagnosed with severe carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome and they wanted to do surgery on both hands and elbows...I didn't let them. I stayed off work for 8 months, it was the most excruciating pain I had ever experienced. I wore the braces 24 hours a day, which really hurt my hands worse (I was working as a machinist and had to though) until it got to the point I couldn't hold a glass or brush my hair...etc. After totally letting them rest for 8 months and going back to work in a different field they are almost completely healed....You need to rest them....apply heat to them which can help...or ice...whichever makes them feel better....Surgery was not a option for me.....I think time and rest is the best choice, and don't do what caused it in the 1st place at all.....It is a injury caused by doing repetitive motions with your hands.........writing to much...typing can trigger it too......Rest....Rest...Rest.....Good Luck to you, I know the pain you feel. All to often people jump on the Surgery bandwagon....I think thats a mistake!

Carpel Tunnel was just described earlier on. It's a infection in the sheathes of the nerves that conceal the nerves to the hands and fingers. It does and will affect the hands and fingers.
Your a little young to be having this problem. Try to put something under your wrist while working the PC, they do make a brace for this type of work. Try using some "cold" or ice on the wrist.
I won't tell you what to take, that's against the law and, your a youngster. Talk to your mom or dad, tell them the problem.

Carpel Tunnel takes, sometimes months or years to get, that same thing over and over.

You are staying on the computer too much and causing the problem. Take a break every thirty minutes for at least 10 minutes.
