i have patellofemural pain syndrome.
i have gone to a physical therapist, i do the exercises, and NOTHING helps. icing doesnt help, heating doesnt help, knee braces dont help & the exercises dont help. (but i still do them)
i`m very active - basketball, dance & volleyball pretty much dominate my life, so i`m constintly doing something.

what do you suggest i do? because i`ve been to the doctor many times & the pain is just getting worse and worse.

Ask your primary care physician for a referral (if required by your insurance) to a rheumatologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders involving joints and bones) to see if they might be able to help you figure out what is going on to cause this pain.

Also, another doctor that might be of help is a physiatrist (not the same as a psychiatrist). These doctors can investigate a problem like this in much more detail than a physical therapist such as running specific tests not done in a physical therapy office to see if they can give a clue as to what's going on.
