I've had a pain on my right shoulder for about a month now and my right arm feels like the circulation cuts off at times. Does someone have any guesses to what this could be?

A month is too long. It really could be a circulation problem. You probably don't want to hear it, but I really think you should see a doctor.

Good luck, hon. :)

It could be anything from a pinched nerve to thoracic outlet syndrome. I would recommend you see a doctor to make sure it's nothing serious or treatable. If you had some sort of acute injury to that shoulder, it would help to diagnose it. The rest of your health history and any associated symptoms are also necessary to make an accurate diagnosis, as is a physical exam.

In fact, other problems can cause referred pain to the shoulder, although they usually don't cause the paresthesias (tingling like your circulation was cut off). That leads me to believe you may have one of the two things I mentioned earlier. Look up thoracic outlet syndrome. There's an easy test you can do to test for it.

By the way, it's rotator cuff, not rotator cup. The rotator cuff consists of the tendons of 4 muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis). You would have had an acute injury to your shoulder in order to tear one of your rotator cuff tendons.

Most likely a pinched nerve or you have a rotator cup problem. You may want to seek some medical advice so that it doesn't worsen and you get scare tissue if you have an injury.
