I sometimes get this head pain,it's like on the outer part of the skull. My head will feel tender in the one spot usually about the size of a golf ball.It doesn't hurt badly but if I touch it I can feel the softness and pain from it.
Sometimes it's in the rear of my head and sometimes on one of the sides.I get this maybe once a week sometime every 2 weeks.
I have been to the Doctors and they find nothing.

Any ideas what this pain could be..?

I've suffered from increasing migraines & tmj for the past 8 years, which have been getting worse and worse, more and more frequent. . . I now take preventative medications which help, suffer from chronic nausea, experience periodic numbness in my limbs. . . the list goes on. So, when I went to a chiropractor and he told me he could cure me (eventually) I was willing to give it a try -- after 4 years with a neurologist and only treatment of symptoms, I'm willing to give anything a try. Well, on the 3rd day/adjustment, I left with a burning pain at my shoulderblades, moving down my spine. I went in the next day for my appointment, got an xray, an explanation about arthritis, and another adjustment that was supposed to fix the problem.
The pain is no better, I skipped today's appointment to give my back a rest, and took a muscle relaxant last night -- still in pain, and I am not sure what to do.

Years ago I spontaneously dislocated my shoulder while swimming. I've had a sore shoulder since, and with a typing position it just exacerbates the soreness. I've gone to physical therapy for the tendonitis in the shoulder as well as had a cortisone shot. The therapy didn't help much but the shot did; however every so often the shoulder starts getting sore and locking up again. I've found that a heating pad helps alleviate the pain, but a friend told me not to leave it on longer than 20 minutes because the fluid will start to build up and make it worse.

How long should I leave the heating pad on?

My boyfriend has arthitis in his back and sciatica and is always in pain. The doctor gave him loratabs and is suppose to take 1 every 4-6 hours. He's been on them for a few months now and he says that if he doesn't take them his whole body feels like crap. He wants to stop taking them but everytime he tries he gets horrible withdraws from them and starts taking them again just to get rid of the crappy feeling. I know no matter what he's going to have withdraws but is there anything I can do to make it not so rough on him?

I have a pain in my leg for the past few hours (since I got up) It's just below my knee, kind of in my shin bone. My leg feels and looks the same (no heat, no swelling) - it reminds me of a growing pain that kids get. It's slightly worse when I am sitting down.
Any suggestions?

Lately I have givin up on ever being better. I used to be able to put on make up on, take a pain pill and go out smiling. People I think are unawear of my health issues..
I can't even do that anymore.
I wonder if I will ever have over come deep depression along with health issues. Gosh-I feel like I am at the end of my life and I am not that old (57) I had a nasty divorce- and my youngest child died. I have mulitable health issues and to top that off everything seems to be going wrong..

Should I just give up and never hope to have energy again to be half way normal again??

Hi, How can I find a good chronic pain Doctor who will keep prescribing me my medicines that I am on. My doctor is leaving after 8 years and I am on a "good, working medication schedule" after many years of trying other things. We have found what works but now I need to find a new doctor who will prescribe me the same medications (narcotics & anxiety medications) within 30 days. I didnt get much notice so I need to move quick. I hate to go and see "20" (so to say) doctors for them to tell me that they cant prescribe them to me.
I live in Wisconsin & most doctors seem to be scared to prescribe narcotics even though I have been on them for years.
Shopping for a new doctor seems impossible in less then 30 days. How do I find a good one who will help me and keep me on the regimine that I have been on for 6 years?
Thank you.

I know I can go to a pain clinic for my pain but for my anxiety the way I am understanding it, I would have to find another doctor. I am used to just one. Thanks

Ok so today I had this excruciating pain towards the left side of my upper ribs. It was sooo bad. I was crying and it hurt to breathe in and walk. It wasn't under the ribs and I'm pretty sure it was in the abdomen. It was also really bloated. I got my friend to touch it and she said it seemed swollen almost like there was a massive lump.
The pain has sort of gone now.
What do you think is happening to me??

Sometimes my legs feel so cramped up that I can't sleep at night. I have to apply pressure to it for the pain to go away. I can't really describe the feeling so I can't really tell anyone what it is but I guess "cramped" is the word. Sometimes when I punch my thighs it helps the pain stop. It doesn't tingle, its just a immense pain that runs through my whole leg to especially my feet. What could this be? My father has a history of arthritis. could this be it?
