Right under my right eye just above my nose has been hurting ever since I woke up today. I don't see a bruise or anything. It hurts & occasionally itches.

It could be a variety of things. Try a warm (very warm) compress on it for 20 minutes. Twenty minutes on and twenty minutes off. See if that helps. If it is still hurting tomorrow, go and get your sinuses checked out thought it could be something as simple as pressure when you slept.

Allergies? Perhaps a sinus infection is brewing.
Do you sleep on your belly? You might have put pressure on that area while you slept, especially if you don't change positions much during the night.
No need to worry, unless the pain gets worse or you see a rash or discoloration or swelling.

Could be a sinus cavity. You might be ready to get a sinus infection. If you have sensitive skin, you might be suffering from a cosmetic allergy.

Boots McGraw is correct with his answer. Every time my eye feels like I just got punched in it, it is due to sinus infections.
