you could have sciatic nerve irritation. Your symptoms sound like that is the problem. I would recommend you see a chiropractor or physical therapist to get treatment as soon as possible. Continuing to do exercise with a problem is not advised. You need to get a professional to diagnose your problem and start giving you proper treatment. I've enclosed a link were you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

Sounds like muscle spasms I'm your low again. Stretch plenty and take a look at now not to take a seat for lengthy durations of time. When you lay for your again positioned a pillow below your knees to take strain off your again. When you lay for your belly however a pillow below your ankles. You too can lay at the flooring going through the ceiling and positioned your legs at the sofa or a chair. You calves move in which your butt might be should you had been sitting at the sofa and the again of your thighs will have to be up towards the entrance of the sofa. This takes SO MUCH strain off you are cut back again. Try it for a couple of mins and notice if it is helping.

I had the same pain there for years and no doctor wanted to take the time to find out what it was. They always tried to tellme to sleep differnt blah blah...I suggest you have an MRI if you can afford to do so. Mine showed three herniated disks in the same area you described. Sitting also puts more pressure on your spine than standing. You may have a pnched nerve also.
