it takes about one week to feel the results of a cortisone Injection. It takes time for the medication to break up the inflammation. If you do not feel any different after a week then see your medical doctor.

I had a cortisone shot given to me in my shoulder because my doctor thought that I too had bursitis. Turned out that about a year later I had what is known as Reiter's Syndrome. I would go back to your doctor and tell him that it didn't work. Is your hip the issue of your pain? I was always complaining about my lower back and that my hips hurt, it wasn't until I had a MRI done did my doctor realized that I had this disease.

i would get a second opinion and maybe a third opinion. you may have a great doctor but it never hurts to see if someone else may know what the problem really is.
