I was recently diagnosed with IBS (six months ago) and the medication that the doctor gave me does not seem to be working. In fact, it seems to have gotten worse. I feel like I am in pain all the time. This is really taken over my life because I am scred to eat, scared to be out of the house for long periods of time, etc. My husband and I barely even have sex anymore because it causes me a lot of pain (the doctor says that is because of the IBS). To anyone out there who is also suffering from this, do you have any suggestions for how to deal with this?

I have really bad headaches almost everyday. In fact, sometimes I have the same headache for days at a time. They're not migraines, because I have had migraines in the past and I know what they feel like. I have taken a few things for them and nothing seems to help. What has worked best for you, my fellow headache sufferers?

Are the pain killers (Vicodin) safe to take during pregnancy? For pain related reasons only and by recommended dosage.

I have been taking 90, 7.5mg hydrocondone for over a year now and my doctor refered me to a pain clinic. i had went for the first time today and i seen a NP who took me off the hydrocodone and gave me 50mg ultrams along with zanaflex (which make me sick even though i tried to tell her that). I ask if i would have any withdraws since i was suddenly stopping the hydrocodone and i was told that the ultram would take care of that. so after coming home i done some searching about ultram and about %70 of results talk about how ultram can be just as addictive even though it is non narcotic and for some people it can even make your withdraws worse.... i have also read that you should not suddenly stop taking hydrocodone and instead be tapperd off it. so my question is.. is it safe for a person who has been taking hyrocodone for as long as i have to be switched to ultram ?

2 years ago I rolled my ankle really bad, i was out of sports for 2 weeks. Every now and then it really hurts, i wear a brace but somedays that doesn't seem to help, it hurts. Usually my ankle swells and the back right along the Achilles tendon starts to bruise but usually goes away in a day. Today i was pitching like i normally do in softball practice and it started hurting again, anyway, its 2 hours later and the pain still kills! is there any ideas out there for the pain other then pain killers? I'm open to ALL options! Also i need something that i could take with me when we travel to away games!

Thanks!

I am a very healthy teenager who has suddenly experienced an on and off shooting pain in my hand. It is quite random( no certain movement triggers it) and has been going on all day. It is annoying and is uncomfortable to deal with. Someone said it might be the fact that I have recently started rock climbing. Any suggestions for the cause and/or a remedy? Thanks!

I wake up in the morning with a headache. I have had blood work, CT scan, all the testing. Nothing shows up. Can you actually wake up with a migraine? That is what the pain feels like. I had migraines years ago but I don't remember waking up with them.

I've had this problem for a few years, and it happened once in a blue moon, now its all the time. My hand aches constanly-- the palm of my hand, where my knuckles are and the bottom where the fleshy heel of my hand is. Sometimes when I grip things (pen, brush, sponge) my hand will freeze and stay like that for about a minute, the pain is unbearable. Sometimes I can catch myself before it freezes and flex my hand, sometimes it creeps up on me by surprise. What is wrong and how can I fix it? Thanks

I have psoriatic arthritis and my knee is extremely swollen to the point of having no visible knee cap. The pain has also spread to the calf. Should I go have it looked at or just wait and see if the swelling goes down itself.
