Tendinitis is the tendon's equivalent of a muscle pull or strain.

In case you don't know. The tendon is a cartilage like material that connects muscle to bone.

The best remedy is ice, Advil and rest.

Tendinitis is frequently caused by repetitive use, so first of all, stop doing whatever it is that caused the tendinitis in the first place. It can also be caused by pregnancy ,usually resolving after the birth takes place. Splinting, ice, and Motrin should help. If it doesn't, you may require an injection of cortisone and a local anesthetic into the tendon sheath, which can only be done by a qualified physician.

Go to healthquest.peoplesway.com and look at Pro GCM, Protec, and Pro GCM Plus. The pro gcm may help to repair, my sister had tendinitis in her shoulder, the doctor told her it would take a long time to repair itself and would be very sore. She put Pro GCM on it 3 times and as long as she doesn't over use it she has no pain. Protec is an anti oxidant and anti inflammatory that helps with pain. There are also some videos on the products at youtube if you search for peoplesway.

Tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon, the tendon is a fibrous material that connects bone and muscle together. Avoid strenuous activities that use the affected tendon for a while, also a splint would help the tendon to heal. Rest is imperative. Good luck.

Here is a link that may help answer your question, I also found that if you get a wrist band and slide it up your arm to just below your elbow and below the front crease of your arm this will also help with the pain, used to work heavy construction and worked well for me.
