Pain & Pain Management - January 2007

i wake up all throughout the night with this horriable pain on my left side towards the back. i try sleeping on my back thinking that maybe i twist wrong but its only that one side.
i hear pregnant people get back pain but i havent gained anything but a few pounds due to the fact im only 6 1/2 weeks.
could it be something else? ((please no smart a*s comments)) :) thanks!

I tried to have my back popped. The doctor only prescribes muscle relaxers which dont work. I know its a pinched nerve but is there a way I can fix this.

I have had several neuroma surgeries on my right foor and one on the left.
Now my right foot tingles,itchy feeling,or like something burning up on the middle toe and shoots toward the arch. The Podiatrist has used alcohol shots to kill the nerves but that hasn't helped. He has me on high doses of vit. B12 for diabetic neuropothy. During the day it's uncomfortable but at night it is really distracting and I have trouble sleeping. Any help will do.

I have lots of pain in my heel when I flex and bend my ankle (like to walk). The pain sometimes extends up into my ankle. I am pretty sure it's a heel spur but I want some other opinions first b4 I go to the docs (mental preparedness I guess).

I am having very painful body aches (legs, arms, hands, back, ears, even behind my ears) I was told that it is symptoms of the flu but this is all I feel i have no cough, fever etc. I havent been working or excercising too hard to make my muscles sore. Ive been taking tylenol arthritis for the pain (works good) but its already day 3 and it hurts as much as the first day. HELP!!!! I need to return to work.

i am suffering from hip pain and toe numbness for the past 3 yrs i have tried everything once my left leg slipped off the two whealler i tried all the doctors {orthopedic, sports doctor, physiotheriapist,}but nothing helped my weight is 75 kgs and 47 yrs old i am type 2 diabetic patient the pain is in patches where ever there is pain that part becomes hard i was advised to apply voveran gel and thrombofom together and fermant with hot and cold packs whn pain is slightly relieved the numbness subsides but i want a permanent solution for this please help

Man...this is isn't easy but here goes...I've been taking Vicodin now for close to 6 years. It started with a bad toothache and no medical/dental insurance. I got hooked on the stuff after using it to relieve pain. I'm now up to 70 (yes SEVENTY) a DAY. I've even "sold myself" in exchange for the drug. I'm only 29 and I have tried to quit MANY times and fail each time. I can't deal with the depression (as I'm already depressed enough as it is). I feel like I want to jump off the roof of my 8 story apt. building everytime I try. My life is consumed by this drug. It's all I think about. How I'm going to get more when I'm running low...I've stolen from my job to purchase the drug at street prices (5 bux a pill on the street, normally. Do the math...70 pills a day at 5 bux a pill???) I'm so ashamed...I don't have the money for an inpatient detox program but I have GOT TO STOP! PLEASE HELP?!?!?! Thank you and God bless!!!

I have this major pain in my back, it's located at the base of my nect to the middle of the shoulderblades and then in my lower back to hip area. Can somebody please suggest something other than a doc. I'm taking 800mgs of Ibruprophen every eight hours on a full stomach. Any other suggestions please??

my knee has really been hurting me lately and i have gone to multiple doctors, specailists ect...
I have gotten x- rays, MRI's, Blood tests, And even bone scans and nothing turned up. It's been hurting me since the end of october. If anyone knows a way to take away some of the pain or what it could be please let me know because i dont feel like waiting any longer!

Okay my friend gave me this pill saying it was a vicodin, I was prescribed it last week for muscle pain, and she gave me a couple of these pills with the imprint-"k 30" on it. Its a white thin oval pill. I dont want to take poison and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. I am 9 months pregnant, and apparently have issues with my sciatic nerve. It's killing me, hurts to roll over in bed, sometimes I will get dead leg... I guess my question is, any suggestions on how to relieve the pain.. So far I have tried massage, stretching, heat, but still no luck... Any ideas would be helpful.

i have a bad habit of cracking my knuckles every 5 mins.
i can't help it.
they seem to get bigger over time.

i've been cracking knuckles ever since i can remember.
i also crack my toes, wrist, back, neck, and knee, and elbow.

I DONT KNOW WHAT"S WRONG WITH MEE!!
