I am having very painful body aches (legs, arms, hands, back, ears, even behind my ears) I was told that it is symptoms of the flu but this is all I feel i have no cough, fever etc. I havent been working or excercising too hard to make my muscles sore. Ive been taking tylenol arthritis for the pain (works good) but its already day 3 and it hurts as much as the first day. HELP!!!! I need to return to work.

lots of viruses can cause body aches w/out any other symptoms-especially in the early stages. you might have other symptoms in the next upcoming days.

if it continues for more than 24-48 more hours-make an appt to see your dr to have bloodwork and other tests run to make sure nothing more serious is occuring.

in the meantime-take ibuprofen instead of the tylenol (unless you are allergic). it works better at reducing pain and swelling.

take 200-400mg every 6 hours as needed but no more than 1200mg in 24 hours

I had the same symptoms about 3 weeks ago and I ended up in the emergency room I hurt all over and had server stomach craps and no throwing up no temperature and they ran lab work on me and that all came back fine , chest xray was fine, and they told me that it was a very bad virus that is going around and they ended up giving me a shot for pain, a shot for nausea ( felt like I could throw up but couldn't) and also IV fluids and after being in the ER for almost 4 hours they sent me home with pills for nausea and said to stay on a clear liquid diet for the next 24 hours and plenty of rest. So if it keeps up you might want to check with your Doctor and get checked out. They can tell better then trying to second guess what is wrong and they told me that this strain of virus is nothing to mess around with so please go get checked

Flu related body ache can last a week or a li'l more ! Continue to take whatever rest you can, drink lot of fluids, sleep well (without drugs, if possible!). If your digestion is ok, if you have no problem with food, you will be ok soon!

Do see your general practitioner. It is time to get this one checked out.
