Okay my friend gave me this pill saying it was a vicodin, I was prescribed it last week for muscle pain, and she gave me a couple of these pills with the imprint-"k 30" on it. Its a white thin oval pill. I dont want to take poison and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. I am in so much pain and would like to take it, so please contact me asap on my email or just respond to the post. Thank you so much I will really appreciate it.

I promise you that what your friend gave you is
NOT vicodin. There are 3 different vicodin tablets on the market, they are all white and oval, but have VICODIN imprinted on them. They also have a score on the back side of the tablets. i work in a pharmacy, and I can not tell you what tablet has "k 30" on it. Do not take it, take it into a pharmacy for proper disposal. While you are there, get your prescription for the doctor filled. Don't put your health at risk and take what your friend gave you!

I do not think it's Empracet - as suggested by another user. Empracet does not have k 30 imprinted on the tablets.

PLEASE use your brain and throw this pill down the toilet. Why risk harming yourself?

I suffer from chronic on going pain from multiple medical conditions. I have found that using MINERAL ICE, generic form is fine, can do a lot for leg pain. The blue coloring can stain your clothing, so wrap your knee after liberally appling it over and under knee. It cost's less then $5 for generic and there is a lot in the container. Using any type of over the counter anti-inflammitory, such as Advil or generic of such drugs, should help the pain some and help with internal swelling you may be unable to see, but is contributing to the pain.

You sound like you have a Meniscus injury to the knee and if so, it should be found on an MRI if they injected you with dye. If this doctor doesn't see it on the MRI, try asking another Radiologist to take a look at your MRI, not the report, but he actual MRI; most Radiologists are rushed and can miss things. I've had many things missed the first time an X-ray or MRI was viewed. I even had one Radiologist say that it was the left side of my Thyroid that was Goitered, when both the ENT who ordered the testing and I knew that it was the right side of my Thryoid that was clearly enlarged, not the left.

I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON, but your life is worth more then risking it by taking a drug you don't know what is. Also, if you haven't used the drug before, you have no idea if you are allergic to it or not.

There is a wonderful drug site RxList and I just looked up the description of this pill. It is Ibuprofen 300 mg. which is good for mild to moderate pain....but I would never take meds. that someone else has given me...no matter what they say. If you are having this much pain, you need to go to your Dr. and get a prescription from him for the pain.

Find you a copy of the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) which is a big book all about medicines, and included in the book are pages of pictures of each and every pill, in perfect detail, so you'll see yours for sure. You can get a copy of this book at good bookstores or in good libraries, or maybe somewhere on the internet. God Bless you.
