My father recently had a mild stroke which was a bleed not a clot. He's been in pain with his left leg for a long time before he got the stroke. He thinks it's rheumatism or rheumatoid athritis. Or maybe it's Sciatica - I'm not sure. His left leg is now fine and it's jumped to the other leg as if the stroke has done the effect. He says it's fine at daytime and then it starts between 7 to 8pm every night as if it has a routine. He's on Painkillers, they are Tramacet, Co-Codamol and D.H.C. He says D.H.C is what works best but doesn't stop the pain completely. It seems as if nothing and no painkiller will stop his pain. Last night he was the worst ever and he tried every way possible to try and stop it (painkiller overdose, sleep on the chair, sleep on a harder mattress, sleep on the floor). It starts like waves of pain from the ankle building up to his hip every day as if a dog chews through your leg. He cries with pain and Morphine was what stopped it at hospital. Please help, Thanks.

I've been diagnosed with kidney stones. But most of my pain is in my left thigh and groin. Is this unusual or from some other cause than the kidney or ureter's swelling pushing against or pinching the sciatic nerve?

My thumb feels as though its fused and has very limited movement, along with pain. It seems to improve towards the end of the day, only to return the next morning. Also, my Doc gave me 600mg of Ibuprofen but can only stay on these for three days. Is there any home remedies I can do.

I have had this chronic neck pain for a few years now. I have gone to neurosurgeon, chiropractor, ct scans, mri's, amytriptoline, feldine, and still continute to suffer from it. It's all day everyday, but is present when I "move". It's located on the right back-side of my neck just at the top of the spine. They have found nothing in the x-rays or the scans. Chiropractics and the meds did help a little, but I didn't cure it. I am looking for all and any help possible. Thanx so much to anyone who answers!!!

If you have ever slept "wrong" and woke up unable to move your head/neck without pain, what do you call it and why? I've heard it called so many things....there has to be an origin.
My family says Crick; where I'm from thats where we go fishin'??

you ever felt like every hair on your head his standing up? Not just when you are excited, but just for no reason at all. It feels like something crawling around your head. I went to a doctor and got a cat scan and it came back with nothing wrong with my head . I'm just curious if anybody else gets this feeling.

I've been taking OTC naproxen (2 tablets) twice daily for pain and inflammation resulting from a C6-C7 herniation. My doctor has now put me on a 6-day pack of methylprednisolone, a steroid, and she said I don't need to take the naproxen anymore.

Unfortunately, without the naproxen, I can't get through the day very well because of the pain. (I'm also taking tylenol, but no other pain meds except for vicodin - one pill at night only.)

Nothing in the product information for the methylprednisolone says I can't take it with NSAIDs like naproxen. Is there any reason I can't continue to take the naproxen while on the methylprednisolone?

Instead of taking 2 somas I would like to add 1 flexerill with 1 soma to really stop these spams. I cant believe this would be a dangerous combo but has any one had any experience in taking both.

For some reason, yesterday, I developed upper back pain that hurts mostly in my ride side just underneath my shoulder and sometimes extends into my neck. It kept growing worse, I could barely sleep last night, and now it hurts to put a shirt over my head and turn my head to the right side... sometimes even yawning hurts. I don't know what caused this... I'm only 21 years old. The only thing I can think is that I sit at a computer often. Will this go away on its own? I have no health insurance. I just took 2 extra strength tylenol so I'm hoping that will dull some of the pain.

I have to come up with a power point presentation for work on how to prevent muscle pains and things like carpel tunnel. I want to give a little history on what the pain is, how it works, and some stretches to help prevent them. I need to know where I can find stuff like the examples on how to do simple preventive stretches for your arms, shoulders, chest, back, legs and hands. I know a few, but any help would be awesome. PLEASE help thanks!

About five years ago I suffered a back injury, but I noticed the foot pain prior to that. It's gotten worse through the years. I've been telling my Dr. about it for a long time, he looks at me like I've got two heads. He finally put me on Cilostazol, I felt some immediate relief, but, it only works sometimes. No insurance. Tested neg. for diabetes. Please Help, any clues? I can't stand the pain.
