I suffer with trapped nerves in my lower back from time to time. My osteopath recommeds lying on the bed (on my back) and gently bringing my knees up to my chest, hold for a few seconds and gently releasing legs down again. Do this 10 times morning and night. Anti-inflamatory drugs and muscle rubs also help.

Assume you mean a trapped nerve. If you still have a lower back ache and the pain goes down your leg then the chances are that the trapped nerve is now free but the bruising to the nerve is what is causing the pain. Walking is a good exercise for this condition and also you should try to build up the muscle strength of your back. Lie on stomach and put your hands to your forehead with elbows out at 90 degrees. Then slowly lift your head, hold for 5 seconds and then slowly down to the floor. To start with do this a few times and build up to a greater number but do not over do it. Now kneel and put one leg up behind you outstretched and down. Do the same with the other leg and again build up to a few but do not overdo it. Best of luck.

I'm guessing you mean a trapped nerve in your lower back. A good gentle exercise which doesn't put pressure on the already inflamed nerve such as swimming can help to release the nerve, but in most cases it is a matter of time. It is a horrendous thing to have. Contact your GP for some anti-inflammatory drugs and use an ice pack on the site to reduce the inflammation.

Cross ties might help with the tying, then she or he is not faced by a wall and until he tries to walk forward then he does not know he is actually tied, though obviously you would need two walls set apart. For the cantering, can you lunge her before you get on board to let her let off steam? You do not say whether you have an arena but lunging or free running to begin with would be good. In canter, I wonder if her back hurts (bucking could be a sign of exuberance or pain somewhere) or if her saddle is fitting slightly wrong. A saddle should be checked by a professional as horses change shapes as they get fitter or fatter. She might also be anticipating a jab in the mouth and would rather that did not happen thank you very much so she might be putting up defence mechanisms to counter that. If you do have an arena try asking for canter in a short corner say H to A, slow your seat swing and she will have to steady to keep comfortable. Use plenty of half halts with the outside reins, though not jabbing, but keep the leg and seat on to keep her going forward. If she is going forward then she cannot buck. Also keep your hands raised a bit more when she is in canter until she relaxes. Whatever it is that is causing the problem, it is going to take time. But do not worry, it is just a glitch. Has she just started this or has she always been like it? What is her age? It is rather difficult to answer without seeing what she and you are doing as a whole. May I also suggest a calming feed supplement?

Like everyone else here...we are thinking that you are referring to trapped nerves. And of course have you seen a Dr. that said it was nerves problems? Is hard to say what type of stretching or exercise recommend if one doesnt have the right diagnosis. Can really recommend to try to put some warm compresses at your back where ever the discomfort is, leave it there for about 20 mins and then proceed with some stretches, then heat it up again and put it back. Heres a site where they show you how to do these stretches, i could be here all day writting them so is better to show you.
And have you tried going for a therapeutic massage? they are great and they can help you.
Good luck and feel better^i^♥♥♥

You should check this Sciatica Natural Treatment
http://cure-sciatica.info

Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

what?
I'm thinking you are having pain in your lower back...not sure what the whole trapping thing is, but try the "downward facing dog" pose from yoga---it's a great lower back stretch and anyone can do it.

one of them big rubber balls, lay with your back on it, and put your arms behind your head in an ourstretched position, with your palms facing away from each other, locking your fingers together, then pull you arms with you fingers still entwined, over your head down to about 15 cms above your knees, as you do this slide slightly down the ball, bending your knees
