i started having pain in my right wrist about three weeks ago. i play field hockey so i thought that i might have slightly bruised the bone. the problem is, it has gotten worse: my wrist tingles sometimes, the skin is bruised, it is a little bit swollen, and it cracks or pops if i move it. i have a velcro wrap around it and tape it and ice it... but what do you think it is?

I somehow injured both rotator cuff at the start of the summer either from lifting too much or not stretching out long enought before swimming. I heard it can take up to a year to fully heal. I feel I am at 75-80% of where I used to be but when I hit the pool I can only free style for a short distance before pain set's in- Any experiences you have had with rotator cuff and what did you do to work it out.

This sounds like a silly question, but it's one I've often wondered.
First, what kind of pillow is best for your posture (neck/back/head) when sleeping? A big fluffy pillow? A firm one? Or no pillow at all or one that just keeps your head off the mattress?

Second, should just your head be on the pillow? Or should your head and neck be on it? Or should your head, neck and shoulders be on it?

Thank you in advance to all who help answering.

My mother is having pains in her back. She went to the gym yesterday morning and ever since that evening she has:
A pinching feeling in her right lower back and a cold, hurtful feeling running down her right leg and up her spine. Any slight movement aches.

My neck is stiff and aches almost constantly. I have to pop it often to release what feels like extreme pressure. Sometimes I get these horrible headaches too. My doctor gave me some pain meds that help, but I want to fix the problem not just supress the pain. i went to a chiropractor but even after weeks of visits I had no relief. I am so sick of feeling like crap from the neck up. Have you ever had this problem and what is the solution?

I have cronic lower back pain that shoots down my legs, The veterans hospital is passing out Gabapentin, which is a seizure medication, and it does nothing for my pain. In fact it makes it worse, due to the side effects, Ie makes me sleep, lay in bed untill my back completly locks up putting the pain level up to a 10, I have already discussed this issue, the sent me more Gabapentin, What a joke..while I am on a long waitng list for testing.....be all you can be...right

Does anybody who else has Fibromyalgia have any tips...
I have just had my hair cut from waist lenght to the lengh of my bra strap around my back, as I suffer from really bad back when ever I wash my hair leaning over the bath. My partner also has Fibromyalgia and just washing my hair takes over 20 minutes. We use a shower attached to the taps.
My arms also hurt and so does my legs & knees. I have to stop half way through and rest and when we are finished I have to stay where I am as I am unable to get up to walk.
Any idea how I can reduce the pain for the both of us, as my partner also has osteoarthitis in his hands and lower back.

Before I ask this question, I do have an appointment to get into "urgent care" ( you have to make appts. for my insurance to use urgent care since there is no hospital near) tomorrow.

I've been having chest pain all day. It doesn't hurt when I'm just sitting still or standing, but when I bend down or turn my upper body it hurts. It's a sharp pain. I've taken tums thinking it might be hurtburn, but they haven't helped. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be and how I can relieve it until I get to the Dr tomorrow??
