I don't know if this will help you, but my doctor prescribed me the birth control shot Depo-Provera, and I use to have migraines 3-4 times a month, now I have maybe 1 a month at the most. I have now been on it for 2 years and it seems to help me. All my sisters also suffer from migraines, but it does not help them. Migraines are not known what causes them, so try anything. Something will/may help that doesn't help others.

I do get migraines from a spinal disorder. It goes up the back of my head to the front left eye, along the side of my head above my head. It's instant pain to match the worst I've ever had.
I take Topamax for instant relief.
Migraines can come from anything. A bad tooth, sinus infections, injuries, stress, the way a person chews their food to a jaw problem.
You'll have to see a doctor and find out what it could be. It may be an underlying problem, find out first than treat if possible.

Talk to a doctor. Migraines could be a sign of other bigger problems, and you need to make sure that you are OK in that manner. In the meantime you could buy a migraine head ace medicine. And drink DR. Pepper. DR. Pepper is full of ca fine that will help with the head ace.

Yes, take pain medicine. I have migrains a lot. By the way, one of my friends would eat a lot of sugar, get a sugar high, then suffer from a migrain headache.

You can usually manage your migraines First try an over - the counter pain medicine such as, ibuprofen or naproxen
Brand names include Advil, Motrin, and Aleve
If over - the counter medicine does not work your doctor can prescribe stronger medicine that stops the migraine as it's starting.
when you feel one coming on
*stop what your doing take your medicine don't wait for the migraine to get worse.
*Take it easy, rest in a quiet dark room try to relax and go to sleep
* Don't watch tv or read
* Put a cold pack or cool cloth on the painful area

Excedrin Migraine works pretty well. Like Lost and Crying said, caffeine helps to get rid of headaches. That mix of aspirin and caffeine usually at least takes the edge off for me.
