I used to smoke some pot due to back pain during bed time. Was my only option due to killing gastritis for long use of pain killers. I'm having physical therapy now and seems to work. Just stopped smoking 20 days ago (no problem with that) but will have to take a Urine drug scan. How long would it take to my organism to get rid of pot traces?

My mom has been having severe pain in her shin that radiates up to her knee. The local Drs. can't find any reason why. She has had an ultrasound and xrays that show nothing but a small trace of arthritis in the knee. she is taking vicodin and an anti-inflammatory and nothing is helping. Heat doesn't help much, nor does an topical ointments. We are at our wits end. She hasn't slept well in a week. It bothers her more after she goes to bed and in the middle of the night. She is 78 yrs old. Any suggestions on where to turn next.

They feel like shooting pains but only last for a second. They come at weird times like when I'm at work. I am a very healthy 19 year old female. I dont have any other health problems and I work-out daily. Could it be stress related?

Not that I'd do it, but a lot of my friends would. They say they'd do it to get high, but I don't know if it'll make them high or if it would kill them (or at least make them really sick). And I just want to know if they'd be okay if they done this, so I can tell them what exactly will happen if they did. And, I don't mean one kind of tylenol, I mean 2 Ultra, and 2 500....I don't know what the difference between them is.

I do not want to mention this brand, but every blog and research I've done points me to withdrawl pains after dis-continueing the vitamin. I only took one brand, no other medicine. I do not take more than one type of vitamin...this is the only thing I used to take. At $12 for 100, and two free 50-count bottles with it, I feel I was ripped off. Can I return the 197 vitamins I didn't, and refuse to take? Why when I've asked this type of question before on Yahoo Answers, why do nurses come on here and tell me it's un-heard of, or it's all in my head? I've not taken this vitamin in 3 weeks and I no longer feel bone, feet, ear, toe, neck, back, knee, elbow, and head pain like I felt when I was taking it. I need answers, and has anyone suffered extreme bone pain reactions, like I have, from a major multi-vitamin? I want serious replies ONLY. And don't answer going, thanks for the points. I think these vitamins might endanger my health, if they haven't allready.

every single morning when i wake up my head throbs for about an hour, its takes about 5 minutes to open my eyes because my vision is doubled and distorted and its down right painfull to open them. Ive been to the doctor and had a catscan to no avail. i drink 2 litres of water everyday and eat a fairly healthy diet with heaps of fresh fruit and veg. ive also had my eyesught tested and its also fine. Does anyone know what this could be? do you think I need a second doctors opinion? its been going on for about 6 months, EVERY SINGLE MORNING???

I was stung several times about 2 months ago, and developed minor joint pain about 2 weeks later. The pain has intensified over time, and has become more constant.

I would estimate that I was stung between 20 and 30 times. Most were in my calves and ancles.

Although several sources claim that yellow jackets do not leave a stinger, I know for a fact that these were yellow jackets, and I had six stingers left inside. Two in my right leg, and one each in my left leg, each arm, and left side.

The joint pain was in my knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows. My knees and hips are ok now, but my shoulders and especially my elbows have continued to worsen.

Any suggestions?

I know there is the spot between your thumb and finger that if you hold down is supposed to relieve your headache. Im not sure how long your supposed to do this though. I have done it and while im holding it it helps alot but as soon as i let go its back.

Also, more importantly i know iv seen online maps of acupuncture spots, where to press etc to relive certain pains but cant seem to find any now...

This is not a throbbing pain and it is not related to toe nail. The discomfort is in the joint where my right toe joins my foot. Sometime when I am lying down it will hurt like hell for 10 seconds or so but mostly, it bends about 70% of what is normal and seems to have a bit of swelling. The swelling increases from time to time. Primarily, the feeling is stiffness.

I have bad an MRI on the toe and they have determined I do not have gout. The MRI shows alot of blood flow around the joint so they know that something is not correct. It has been surmised that I have some arthritis in the joint.

That is fine and all but it is not solving the problem which is limited mobility in the toe which has been going on for a couple of years now. I do not recall injuring the joint. Any ideas?

Ideas about relieving the discomfort and increasing the mobility are both helpful. I am aware of this condition almost all of the time which really ticks me off.

Thanks
