I used to smoke some pot due to back pain during bed time. Was my only option due to killing gastritis for long use of pain killers. I'm having physical therapy now and seems to work. Just stopped smoking 20 days ago (no problem with that) but will have to take a Urine drug scan. How long would it take to my organism to get rid of pot traces?

Only a few days. Unless you were a very very heavy user should it be detected weeks after. My brother ran into this problem a few years back, he went to the drugstore and bough AZO its for urinary tract infections but it helps clear out your system. within a few days, but you should be ok.

It depends on alot of things. First of all, how much and how often were you smoking? Marijuana takes time to bulid up in your system, and the amount that has built up will be proportional to how long it takes to get out of your system. Contrary to popular beliefs, if you smoke once, it won't make you fail a drug test. Not that it won't be present in your system, but there has to be a certain amount present before it will show up positive for the drug, to make room for the presence of interfering substances which can cause false postives. Also, your body size and metabolism affects how quickly your system gets clean. If you are doing physical therapy and therefore getting some exercise, that will help as well. Keep getting exercise, eat a healthy diet, and drink plenty of water and you should be okay.

I was going to say you shouldn't have done it in the first place until I read the rest of the story. If the methods listed don't work, make sure you have copies of your prescriptions or a note from your physician stating you were prescribed this as pain treatment. You should be in good shape then.

there is really no way to tell. heavy usage last longer than short term usage, but on the other hand one time havy usage takes longer to get out because your body has to recognize it before it starts to excrete it. lots of factors like metabolism (i suggest excercising a lot) tolerance and dosage have a lot to do with it. generally 30 days is a good approximation but i have heard of some that have smoke chronically but had that super fast metabolism and managed to pass after only a few days of smoking.

You should be good to go on a urine sample. I believe it's about 21 days to clear it. Do a google search.
