Turn on a heating pad and put a towel over it and lay down on it . The warmth will make your ear feel better temporarily. Just be careful not to set it too high and burn your ear or fall asleep with it on. When I was little, I used to put a blanket over the register and let the warm air blow on my ear. My mom is really into homeopathic cures and she used to take a clove of garlic and put it through a garlic press and put it into a small saucepan with a small amount of olive oil. You heat the oil and the garlic for a few minutes and then strain it, let it cool and have someone pour it into your ear,(just a tablespoon or so) and then tip your ear and let it run out onto a towel. It is really important that you let the oil cool down to a mildly warm temperature. It relieved my earaches so much. I used to get them so bad when I was a kid. I still do it to this day. The warmth soothes the throbbing and the garlic kills any infection.
Of course there are other options than this. There are drops that you can get by going to your doctor and getting a prescription. But if you need some relief now, try this.

I have them all the time. Take a cold medicine with guaifenesin in it to loosen up the fluid in your ears that is making them hurt and it must also have an anti-hystamine in it too to help dry up the fluid that is in there. Some will dry up and some will run down your throat so get a hot water bottle or heating pad and lay on the side that hurts for a while and it should ease up after about a half hour to an hour. I hope you feel better! Ear aches are awful!
