I have a very bad scar on my arms (it is raised up from the skin). It is starting to have a greenish discoloring around it. It is also very painful around the area. What could be the cause of this happening?

I fractured my tibia 2 months ago - same injury as Yao Ming. A week after I got off crutches, my leg started to really hurt on the opposite side from the break. The x-rays are fine but the pain is intense.

I broke my ankle a few years back, had surgery, they put 5 screws in my ankle and one in between my tibia and fibia, so now of course when the weather changes it hurts. Lately the weather hasn't been changing as much and it hurts more than ever, right where the one screw is between my two leg bones.

After my husband fell 12 ft doctors ordered a MRI and said he had a stress fracture of the L5. Then they ordered a bone scan said it was an old stress fracture and workmens comp would not pay to repair the stress fracture. I have read all kinds of articles on a bone scan and have found no evidence that age of a stress fracture is determined just that there is a stress fracture. Can you lets us know if the age of the stress fracture can be determined? Thanks.

In the past 3 weeks my sis has had 2 seizures. We have been to ER both times. Bloodwork is normal, CT is normal. These were tonic-coloic seizures. Now a week after the 2nd she is feeling "little shocks" when she tries to think/remember or speak. She is "thick tongued" and has a difficult time saying what she is thinking. The ER said it was an isolated incident and has not followed up with getting her into the neuro clinic. Her family MD doesn't seem to be concerned at all but is getting her a referral. She has been taking levothyroxine for about 6 months and celexa for about 2-3 months. Her MD has taken her off elavil and toradol. She was taking these to help with a shoulder dislocation she had repaired 1.5 yr ago but reinjured during this last seizure. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be going on? I am getting really worried and noone else seems overly concerned. I know we need to see Neuro so don't tell me that--we are working on it. Thanks

so far, before i coded starting with uncontrolled seizures, asytolic cardiac ( 18min, defib x's 2) and respratory colapse,
i had stroked-recovered all functiions, and had 3 prior blunt force head traumas which i have also made partial recovery from.
i understand the differences alone might mean how/ if any functiiions i can recover aggain from ttthis last time,
the only reason i ask is to better understaand how i caan just not be so frusted as things slowly return, or might not.
this may soound too scary for you to reply back to, but,
you'd be surprized how alot of hope or even opinions will keep a person going.
i will go on.
just answer, it's ok , you don't have to be a dr. to give hope.

I was just in the washroom. Someone tried the door and found it locked but opted to try the door 2 more times. I found that pretty annoying. I mean what are they thinking? If they tried the door a few times it will magicallly open? Irritating.

I was aplying makeup on my eye and notice a bloody spot, swollen, on the white part of my eye.. Like a broken blood vessel. 30 min. later I looked at it again and its getting worse and spreading. I don't remember poking it or anything like that. My eye is dry.. I was prescribed some valium, could this be doing it? I was in the hospital 4 days ago, they gave me blood thinner, could it be that? Any ideas?

ok here is the deal... Maybe a week ago I noticed my right wrist hurting. It happened halfway thru gym class we are playing badminton so this is kinda becoming a problem. I thought it only happened in gym but then the next day when I brushed my hair my wrist started hurting! It seems that for the past yr in Winter only my wrist will hurt. My mom has tendinitis so is this why my wrist hurts? Now it hurts very easily. The pain isn't too bad just annoying.

Yesterday I banged my pinky on something. It hurt, especially near the knuckle joint, but it looked fine.

A day later, it swells up and hurts a bit more. Could it just be a bruise or bump?

i have been falling over often these days. i stumble as i walk as well.
sometimes my vision blurrs.
randomly my hand doesn't work when i write and suddenly draws a line across the page when i wasn't supposed to.
i saw a doctor but he said i need more rest, but even though i have had plenty of rest these symptoms keep continuing.
i play piano but i cannot play as fast as i used to and i can't type as fast either.
is this just plain clumsiness?

However now the skin has healed I am still experiencing pain in it and cannot put much pressure on it (eg. press ups) Some days the pain is quite bad sometimes better. Anybody had the same problem or what this can be?

1 month ago I injured my pinky toe when i slammed them into the frame of a door. The toe hurt a LOT for a day or two, but then felt fine, on and off for a month or so. About a week ago I was wearing those really tight climbing shoes for climbing, and since then the toe has had a good deal of pain when I put pressure on it. I've never had issues with those shoes before, and I'm worried that the toe may be broken. What negative effects could there be if I don't get a broken toe tended to?
