I fractured my tibia 2 months ago - same injury as Yao Ming. A week after I got off crutches, my leg started to really hurt on the opposite side from the break. The x-rays are fine but the pain is intense.

I know what you mean! I had tendinitis in my elbow for quite a long time and it is extremely painful. Fortunately, it finally went away after several months. I found some relief with ibuprofen (Advil) until it finally healed itself. Hope you feel better soon, in the meantime, try Advil.

Hi Cindy. It may be a good idea to find a doctor that will work with you to determine the CAUSE of your tendinitis. Taking dangerous drugs like Advil (proven to kill at least 16,500 Americans ANNUALLY) to mask the pain while 'hoping' the pain will go away on its own, may not be the best approach to your problem.

Have you seen a Chiropractor for an evaluation? What about a Sports Medicine Specialist (medical doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist)? I encourage you to find a healthcare provider that has the knowledge and skills to help you find and fix the cause of your pain.

Best wishes and good luck.
