ok so i was at a party last night.. helped kick down a door, but later i realized i realy hurt my toe. I can bend it down maybe half as much as the other toe. When I put them next to eah other, the hurt toe is more swollen and its darker - you can see purple and blue. should i see a doctor or will it heal by itself.

I hit my head about a month ago, which resulted in a large bump that took a while to heal. Now, the bump is completely healed, but there is a completely bald spot where I hit my head! Does anyone know anything about this? Why did it fall out? Will it grow back?

My knee doesn't really hurt, it's a little sore but nothing bad. It's really tight and I have a hard time when I try to bend it back to stretch it out or when I try walking up stairs. Sometimes it will pop which makes it feel a little better. I've also noticed that it a little swollen on the outside. It's been bugging me for a little over a week and I honestly can't figure out what I did to it. It's on the opposite leg of the messed up ankle so I don't know if I threw it out of wack when I hurt my ankle about 3 weeks ago and was hobbling around or what. It doesn't really hurt, more like the muscles are just really tight, stiff and sore. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've been trying to soak it in hot water (because I do it for my ankle anyway) and that seems to help a little but it's not really getting better. It's not getting worse either though. Should I be concerned? Never had issues with my knees (except for really bad growing pains when I was a teenager about 15 years ago)

i get bloody noses pretty frequently. when i have one it can be as short as 10mins but also as long as 45 mins long. every year and a half or so i have to go to the doctor to get it clauterized but after a year and a half it will start up again.
my doctor has already checked for tumors and other problems, he has said it is because of blood vessels close to the skin.

my question is if instead of clauterizing it is there a more permanant solution

It's been a considerable amount of time. Though it feels that the muscles are not fully healed, should I not have the majority of my strength back and not be feeling any pain in the palm and wrist?

I first noticed symptoms 14 years ago. I have a spot on my back that gets numb after an accident. I have pain in my left arm in one area especially. Muscles from my spine around to my sternum sometimes hurt severly. At times my neck gets very stiff and sore. I came feel numbness into my face and down to my belt on left side only. My heart has a skipping beat when things are at the worst. Everynight my left sinus stops up. Is this all related? I saw a doctor several years ago and a neurologist too. My doctor don't seem to care at all and the neurologist told em to ditch the GP's hyrdocodone (I did), recomended rehab, prescribed Elavil, suggested a scan of my neck. After consultation with GP I did nothing at al but I have come to believe the arm, the neck, the back numbness, and heart beat are all connected. I never thought anything was wrong with my neck but now I don't know. It has gotten worse over the years. What can I expect in days to come?

I suffered a severe motocross accident two years ago. My shoulder was severely dislocated. The labram was torn, the rotator cuff was totolly torn, the axillary nerve was severely stretched, the greater tuberosity and part on the shoulder was chipped into pieces. The surgeon told me I'd never lift my arm again, but I can raise it overhead. Anyone know how long the nerves can continue to heal?

I was playing a soccer game on Dec 17 and i fractured my foot and found out it was a Jones Fracture. My doctor x-rayed my foot and said it did not require surgery but it would take 8 weeks to heal. Well, today Feb 4, 2007 i was swinging a baseball bat and i stepped with my left foot (the already fractured foot) and heard a snap with some pain. I am worried that i have re-broken the 5th metatarsal bone. What are the chances of surgery? If i do have surgery what will be my healing time? I do intend to meet with my doctor on this matter im just seeing if i can get a quicker response. Thank you to all who responde in advance!

First off, I went to the ER and they took X-Rays and told me nothing was broken and that I just severely strained my back. I fell down the stairs and hit my lower left side on the center of the stair. They said I should be feeling better in a few days but the first 72 hours were the worst. Well, It's Sunday now and it still hurst just like it did on Thur/Fri/Sat I still can't sleep for long/comfortably because of the pain, still can't sit right, standing up straight, and trying to do certain things. Shouldn't it have improved by now? What kind of timeline am I looking at possibly? And also, how would I know if I hurt my disk or anything? They said only an MRI would show that and they normally don't do those in the ER and if I was still hurting I might need one because of a nerve or my disk. If anyone could offer some advice and tips, it would be greatly appreciated. I just need a little bit to go off of so I can get a timeline and if I should be worried about disk/nerve damage? Thanks

Ok so I broke my nose a little when I was in 3rd grade in PE, and now I am 15. There was a little (not much)bone or something protruding from my nose on my right. It healed naturally, but there is still a fairly noticeable bump on one side(to me). The other side of my nose is near perfect and this annoys me every now and then.
ps: mom is a doctor-but not a plastic surgeon.
I would like to know what the best thing to do is? Something helpful would be nice. Thanks!!!!

I play basketball and am in so much pain everywhere I cant hardly take it.
-My left knee I can hardly jump off of, I just get a shooting pain. I have little cartiledge in either of my knees and I dont know if that is causing it. I also tore my meniscus in my knee last summer and am just wondering if that could be causing it as well. I would like to know if it is my meniscus can I do any further damage to it or is it ok to play through it. My knee gives out occasionally and my coaches keep wondering whats going on and I just ignore them but I really need to know if I should get to the doctor.

my 9 and 10 yrs old daughters were burned in a house fire on 12/26/06. The 10 yrs old wears a "sleeve" on her burned area. The 9 yrs old has 3rd degree burns on her arms & back. There are 2 different doctors treating them. The 9 yrs old doctor does not utilize a "covering" on her arms. I want the best treatment for their healing. Any advice would be appreciated.
