I had knee surgery in oct. 2006. and weeks later ended up in thee hospital with DVT, and clots in my lungs. So now Im on a blood thinner... Orthopedic says get some physical therepy. I've been on the coumidian since november 2006.

Yes. Make them aware and give them a list of meds. Your MD should have cleared you for PT, but your therapist will also make sure. Know your symptoms of DVT (i.e. warmth, calf pain, etc.)

coumadin helps prevents or reduces the chance of another deep vein thrombus (blood clot) or DVT. coumadin does not interfere with physical therapy. you are just getting your strength and movement back in that extremity. you physical therapist will have all your medical information and will modify therapy to your particular case.

I am quite sure they will. The only worry you have with coumadin is in getting a bleeding wound that might have difficulty clotting.
