so far, before i coded starting with uncontrolled seizures, asytolic cardiac ( 18min, defib x's 2) and respratory colapse,
i had stroked-recovered all functiions, and had 3 prior blunt force head traumas which i have also made partial recovery from.
i understand the differences alone might mean how/ if any functiiions i can recover aggain from ttthis last time,
the only reason i ask is to better understaand how i caan just not be so frusted as things slowly return, or might not.
this may soound too scary for you to reply back to, but,
you'd be surprized how alot of hope or even opinions will keep a person going.
i will go on.
just answer, it's ok , you don't have to be a dr. to give hope.

today, i had come the closest i've known. i forgot to say it's only been 4months between each code called, the last one waas the worst. in sept. beccause of an accident that added to each head trauma, .........well,
so far because our area hasn't believed i can be helped, i've gotten back as far as i have on my own, i am stll looking for a re-hab therapist,
but today, all i really needed was what came through with both answers
the hope.....to keep looking for the help i need.

Head injuries usually cause damage to the brain, and it sounds like you have had separate instances of this happening. Anyway, the brain is like a computer with different programs, running different systems in your body. When 1 set of circuits gets damaged, Through trauma or stroke, Sometimes other parts of the computer can be used to control the functions lost.
This is what Re-hab, is all about. Follow your re-hab instructions, always try to do more than is required, because the brain is like a muscle, it needs to be excercised.

Don't give up hope, because some recovery is better than none, and you are the main controller of how far you can advance.

Sounds like you have a good idea what you have to deal with. You didn't say whether this last time was another stroke or other head trama, but by my experience time will help you heal. Follow your therapist's directions and keep working at it. Don't give-up, even doctors can't always tell how much you will recover.
