I ran into a pole at work today and bumped my head a good one. My employer just kinda smiled. I worked my full shift even though I have a terrible headache. I didn't get a chance to put ice on it much because I was so busy ringing customers. I am home now but feel really dizzy. Am I over reacting?

I was in a Car Accident in May of 06, about 8 months ago. I was rear-ended. I was stopped, the other guy was going 30 mph or so, enough to total my car.

I had bad neckpain and had myself checked out. The doc prescribed Painkillers, ice, and physical therapy. I did physical therapy for months, and that helped a lot. But it still hasn't gone away completely. A lot of times it goes away(or is tolerable pain) for weeks, but then it comes back.

I'm sick of going to the doc every 6 weeks telling him it still hurts. And i'm sick of thinking I'm past this only to find the pain coming back. This is worse because the doc keeps telling me I shouldn't be in pain. As if I'm making it up. He's given me xrays, but it didn't show anything.

Is it possible for a neck injury to last this long? Am I doing something wrong with my neck excersizes? I'm getting really frustrated. ANY help or info would be appreciated. thanks

For the past week or so, my husbands hands/arms have been sporadically going numb (severe pain in his fingers & tingling) throughout the day. It doesn't seem to matter what position he is in when this happens, even if he is in the middle of using his hands/arms.

He lifts weights, on average, 3-4 x per week. I feel like this is poor circulation, any thoughts on what might be causing this or what he could do to help?

Well, a while ago during gym we were playing handball but on our knees. my knee started to swell and I couldn't bend it or walk on it. The pain was right under the knee cap. It was also red. I went to the doctor and he said I tore a ligament in my knee and told me to se an orthapidec. Also if i bend my knee it cracks every time. So the next day I went to the orthapidec and he took x-rays but not an MRI. He said I have Premature patella inflamation. He said just rest and there nothing he can do. How does he know if he didn't even take an MRI? Any suggestions?

Thx for ur time

I went on vacation recently and walked alot, more than I usually do. I wore sneakers that I thought were broken in, but i developed blisters on my heel and one day i woke up and there was a reddish purple-ish bruise underneath my big toenail. Its been 1 1/2 weeks since I got back from vacation and I haven't worn those sneakers ever since then. But my toenail is still the same. Any suggestions?

if you suffer one or multiple concussions in the past that have gone undetected (ie you never went to the doctor when you should have to see if you did suffer one), is it possible to detect them years later. does a consussion leave a lasting impression or is it something that has to be found when it happens otherwise you cant tell

Hello! 3 months ago I was T-boned by a car that ran a stop sign. My old car was totaled for $700 (91 Honda with 260K miles on it and a past total in the history). I had to get 7 stitches in my head. I didn't miss work, though I missed two college classes that day. I have a slight scar of an inch and a half or so on my forehead. My medical bills totaled $3000 after ambulance, x-ray, stitches, etc. I have police report and witnesses were there on the report. I don't see the need in a lawyer, since it wasn't a huge injury and I haven't had any problems since then, but I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what a fair settlement is for a case like this. I've been friendly with the party-at-fault's insurance agent as he has been to me, but I've been offered $600 for pain and suffering (he said that was the max) and $500 for property damage. Should I just accept this? Like I said, I'm not looking to extract as much as I possibly can, but I don't want to get ripped off either...

I sprained my knee about a month ago, I ignored it for a few weeks until I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago. Told me to avoid exercising etc for two weeks and rest. The pain is pretty much gone but my leg still feels "stiff" you might say I can bend it completely no problem but when I walk it feels stiff, is this normal?

I've got a friend who was in a bad car crash yesterday. Another boy in the car with him died, but he's alive. From what I've been told, he has a brain contusion and possibly a broken neck. Exactly what would that mean for him? He's only 17 and he does all sorts of drugs. Would that compromise his recovery at all?
