Dude, I seriously wouldn't worry about crying from skinned knees. Everyone has a different pain threshold and everybody has their weak spots. I've skinned my knees plenty of times and don't remember crying about it, but I've cried about other injuries. My best buddy and I were biking at age 16. He took a nesty spill which resulted in two skinned knees and he cried. He was one of the toughest guys I knew, but he felt like less of a man after that and I told him the same thing I say to you: that isn't the true measure of your manhood. Definitely keep moving and keep playing sports. And think about this: to know the true answer of how every guy acted when he skinned his knee, we would have to line them all up, make them run, and then trip all of them to make them fall onto concrete and see what happens. That's ridiculous. We are all different people who react to different things in different ways. Hope your knees are healing, and sorry about your leather jacket getting skinned up too. Lol now you see why motorcyclists wear leather!

It was around 2000 and I was 36. Fell over on gravel (slightly worse for wear after a few sherberts). Thought nothing of it even though my knee was bleeding. Wrapped a load of kitchen roll around it and carried on drinking at my sisters house. Went home to bed and in the morning the sheet was stuck to my leg with blood so thought I'd better go to a+e to have it checked over. Ended with having the gravel scrubbed out of the knee with a wire brush, six stitches and a knee brace.
Good night out though, if I may say so.

This is quite embarrassing, I was about 14 and I was running to be 1st in the dinner queue at school, somehow, I tripped and fell flat on all fours, scraping my knee quite badly. Every1 laughed, there must have been 30 ppl there! and I ended up about 20th in the queue with blood running down my leg, trying to make out I wasn't bothered. I was mortified!!

I slipped on a loose curb stone which broke away from the pavement and fell into the road, skinning my knees and hands. This was a couple of months ago and I am a pensioner over 65.

I will tell you but your proberly laugh. It was very imbarrassing actually, and it only happened last year. I recently have turned 29, so was 28 then!!!!!!!!
When i was younger i was more of a tom boy. Me and my partner went to a country park last summer. It was hot and for the first time in years i for some strange reason decided to wear a skirt!!!!!!!! Short one too.
Anyway we was chatting about the sort of things we got upto as kids and i said how i loved to THEN climb trees.
Think youve proberly guessed it.......Yes i decided to be that tomboy one last time, for old times sake!!!
So i found this tree and up i went. Before i knew what happened one of the branches broke and i came tumbling out the tree. Landed on my chest OUCH. Skinned both my knees and one elbow. Cut my chin, sprained my ankle and COULD of broken my neck!!!!
A lesson learned. I wont be climbing anymore trees at my age.

Hiking in S-Africa last year, it was very wet, raining like mad and my foot slipped , went tumbling down the rocks and just missed going over the edge into a waterfall. It was sore, sore , sore. BUT, i did not cry but i got sick . Had to climb with a huge bruise and lump on my knee. Still suffering. Ouch :)) Old enough to be a granny and young enough to be a lover:)

we had a new dog which in my country are not kept in the house,& are mainly for protection..anyways, he was normally chained outside the house & let loose at night so people don't jump over walls into your garden & then into ur house, so I was about to go to school,he kept barking at me & I thought he was chained but he wasn't, so he ran towards me & I got scared & turned to run but fell on a sharp step & scraped my knee. I still have the scar!
