Time. There are medicines you can buy while it's healing to help reduce it, but it just takes time. I've got a burn on my hand from 16 years ago.

A scar is already a "healed" wound. Scars do not become healed and they are permanent. Many scars will fade with age but they never disappear unless you have cosmetic surgery. The key to reducing a scar is treating the actual wound properly while it is healing. Using medication such as Neosporin or ointment will minimize scar tissue. But once the scar is there, you live with it.

you can go to CVS and get some Palmers Scar Serum. it comes in a small clear bottle. It worked for me. You will see your scar start to fade as you use it regularly for a while.

There is a special cream you can get in any pharmacy to help you reduce the results of a scar.I don't know if it still works after one year but I would recommend asking a pharmacist.

You could try Neosporin Scar Solution Sheets from the drugstore. I have never tried them but my dermatologist recommends them.

I think if it is their since last one year & on touching it, it is firm than it is fibrossis and without cosmetic surgery it won't go. If it is not firm & on touching it's elasticity is all most like skin than apply Thrombofob, don't rub simply apply.
