If you're sure it was only butter - and did not have any other ingredients mixed in it, there is nothing to worry about. Also, was it hot butter that may have burned your eye? If so, you should see an opthomologist. But if it did not burn and has nothing else in it, It will go away on its own and won't hurt your eye.

It will go away by this time tomorrow. Try washing it with water, then dry with a paper towel. Butter will leave a little oily stuff behind, especially movie theater 'butter.' It floats on top of water so that's probably why it's not coming out. Just ignore it, it will eventually wash out of your eye on its own.

This is not a problem. Just leave it. It'll clear up on it's own.
