keep it loosely wrapped (enough so it doesnt easily move but not cutting the circulation off), elevated above your heart as much as possible, drink plenty of fluids. the added calcium isnt going to make a difference because your has more in your body than it knows what to do with anyway (some people just heal faster than others). And try to not use it.

I would suggest that you go and see your Primary Care Physician as soon as possible; and, if you do not have Health Insurance, go to your local Emergency Room or Community Health Care Center. Your "minor" wrist fracture may not be as you think.

I recently broke my wrist (left). The fracture, however, was not minor, and required Open Reduction Internal Fixation surgery, due to a complete distal fracture -- completely across the wrist. In addition, I will be going through physical therapy, in order to gain strength and use of my wrist and hand, at least for the next 12 weeks.

Although your injury may not be as serious, I would not take such a chance. Your wrist may only require a cast or splint, in order to heal properly. Get X-rays ASAP, in order to know for sure. Remember, if this is not properly taken care of, that you may lose some functions of your hand or wrist, as well as there may be some unknown nerve damage.

Good luck, and safe healing.
