i did this when i was 4 and survived i wanna know how close i came to dieing. i need details like how many mili-amps travel across your heart, is sticking different stuff in the socket more dangerous than others (i used a copper bobby pin), and how many people a year die from this?

I herniated a disk in my low back several years ago. It was decided by the docs that I had at that time, that I wouldn't need surgery as there was a 50/50 chance I would be in as much pain or more. For the most part, my back doesn't bother me, but I do have periods of time when I am just about crippled with pain. Any suggestions or tricks that you've found work when your back starts to ache? Any suggestions would be appreciated, though preferably from someone with a back injury.

I'm sure that many people are posting on the bug bites this time of year. But my issue is that it is only me that gets bit. Ron and I stand on the same porch, sit on the same couch, sleep in the same bed, and I am the only one who gets bit!!! I wake up with spider bites. And when we are outside, i come in with many mosquito bites, but he never gets bit!! Why? Do bugs really pick and choose who they bite? And how do I stop it?

My diet is pretty much the same, but lately even in the middle of the night I find myself waking up to go the toilet. It's harmless, right? It's really annoying when I have to go to the toilet almost all the time (last week, at every exam paper I had to excuse myself; before and after class, I need to go to the toilet; when i reach home I always have to rush to the toilet)

It swoll for a couple days. Now the swelling is gone. It has been a week and it is a little sore and hurts to move, but there is a big purple bruise down my wrist along the vein line, and there is grey bruising all around on the front of my wrist and it is getting bigger, it seems to be pooling in the middle of my hand and spreading up my arm above the brace I am wearing. Should I go to the doctor. It doesn't hurt to bad and I can move it all around, it's just a little tender. What could cause this?

My daughter seems to have terrible luck! Last week she got stung by something right inbetween the eyes. She later told me about it and it seems to be healing up pretty nicely. Then this morning I noticed that something stung her on the top of her foot and the stinger is still in there. The area is red and swolen and is very tender to the touch. She is complaining that the inside of her neck hurts, as she describes it. She is 5 1/2 years old. She also had a sting on her arm a couple of weeks ago. Can all these stings be harming her?

Yesterday i was helping a friend of mine move some steel. i picked up about 25 lbs of it and stepped off the trailer which was about a foot high. When i stepped off my foot landed halfway on a step and it rolled off, therefore rolling my ankle. I could walk on it for a bit, but then it started to hurt pretty badly. Now i am having to use crutches to get around. It doesnt hurt when im not using it though. Is it broken or just severly sprained?

I gave my new car the Detailing of a life-time 2 weeks ago and put a lil pain in my back and my right leg. My back has recovered naturally, but there is still this cramp like pain in my leg.

I noticed my 2 year old has 2 red bumps on the lower left leg. The leg is swollen in the area and the immediate area outside the two bug bites is very very hard. He doesnt even notice the pain....but he has an incredible high pain tolerance. I touched it and he doesnt even flinch. Any ideas?

yesterday, i am proud to say, i saved a kitten from the inside of an engine. it was wedged in and i got it out but what happened after was weird, the engine was HOT on some parts so i had to position myself in an awkard way to get the kitten, my wrist popped a few times while i was doing it and when it was all said and done, i had this pain shooting from my wrist down to my elbow, well i slept on it and i woke up this morning and the pain was gone so i figured it was a strained muscle or something, but then about an hour ago i tried to pick something up with my right hand and i felt this HORRIBLE PAIN, in my right hand from the top of my pointer finger down to my wrist, its really weird, and its not swollen, i know this is a weird question, but i get freaked out easily when things happen to my hand so should i be concerned or is it maybe just a bruised bone?
