it happened about an hour ago, the nausea passed and i feel somewhat normal again, it happened to be in the lower right quadrant of my abs. i was really scared. are these symptoms normal for a popped ligament or muscle? there is no pain if i sit up straight or walk, so its probably not appendix. what can be done to a popped ligament? Will it heal on its own? Will I die? I have two babies sleeping and a husband sleeping who rolled over and said your not going to die. Has this happened to anyone else? i am fat, i gained 30 for marriage and 30 for each child, i weigh 210 lbs. i did 10 situps on an incline 4 days ago, my abs hurt everytime i moved, but they seemed to be getting better (as far as cpnstant pain is concerned) but i sleep on my stomach with my abs stretched out. and i was sleeping for about 3 hours before i turned over and did the situp to get out of bed and something popped. im kinda freaked out, a little scared any imput would be good. and yeah, i know i need to lose weight.

Hi, I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and the doctor has advised me to stop smoking. You would think that the diagnosis would be enough to make me stop, unfortunatly it is not the case. I am finding it really difficult. It was only on monday when I was told. Have any of you got any tips that could help, I have been offered patches and I'm also considering zyban. I would love to hear from anyone who has tried these or other methods. Thanks

I was playing softball in early February (4 months ago) and i was trying to catch the ball with my bare hands... unfortunately i kind of missed it and it hit my pinky finger very hard. It was swollen for some days then went down. It also turned blue but the colour was gone after a few days. my finger was bent and is still slightly bent now. Just slightly. Well, I couldnt bother to go see the doctor. But my pinky has VERY LITTLE pain now(after 4 months). So little, I only realize that it hurts when I think of it, or probably im just used to it after 4 months. I can even move it rapidly and it doesnt hurt. I just feel the little pain.....Anyways, when I bend it, I sometimes hear a crack. I don't know what to do! what should I do? And what happened to it?

We all know that if you strain your eyes to look at something however small, you might damage your eye sight, but what about hearing, if you continue to strain your ear to hear something barely audible, will it affect your hearing in the long run?

I have this really painful bruise on my knee, from hitting it on a piano bench the other night. Its not very big, but it hurts a lot. Anyway, i was noticing that if i touch the bruise it hurts, but if i pull the skin up, so that the bruise itself is in a different place, but then poke the same place as the bruise was originally, that doesnt hurt at all.
Can someone explain why that is to me?

It's drying up and bunching and tightening the skin around it. If i open up my hands (ex. to do a high-five), it tears and bleeds. How do i keep it from drying up?Or is this just part of the healing process?

I am 21 years old. I have used a computer since I was 5. In the last few months I have a slight tingling/asleep feeling in my right hand. I am right handed so I also use a mouse with that hand. I work in an office and go to school for a degree that requires ALOT of typing. I spend an average of 20 hours a week on a computer if not more due to my job. My wrist 'pops' around 10 times a day.Could this be carpal tunnel? I thought carpal tunnel was painful. Mine isnt, just uncomfortable.

What can I do about it other than surgery? Something low cost, but I cant give up my job or typing. Pain relievers do not work.

After a week of having a sore eye - feeling like I had something in my eye - no swelling or bloodshot, just some pain. Saw my opthamologist today and he said it's an ulcer on my cornea and needs "aggressive" antibiotic treatment. Gave me drops to be used hourly - the usual dose is 4-hourly - and an ointment to be used at night. Stuff I've read on web is really scary. Can anyone tell me if they've had this problem and how it turned out?

I'm in pain and the Celebrex isn't working. I know not to take any other NSAIDs while using Celebrex but what about Tylenol? Can I take that? I called my doctor's office and the nurse told me to keep taking the Celebrex to give it time to work. How much time? I've been in pain and without much more than a few hours sleep in 2 weeks. I need relief and soon.

I am at a very young age, and I am so terrified of getting arthritis! My family tells me I will be fine, but I'm still paranoid. Can you please help me get my mind off of it? Because every time I have a pain in my hand or foot, I directly think it's arthritis.

Seriously, could someone (hopefully nurse or Doc) tell me what is the difference for lipid profile with alcohol in the system versus none. My friend is having this test, he dosen't drink during the day, just a couple at night before bed.
He's suppose to refrain from it for 48hrs prior to the test but I have a feeling he won't do that. What significance will this have on the results. Will it be major or minor. I would appreciate an answer in the next day.
Thanks in advance
No lectures please

Okay ... this might seem crazy, but I am going to ask this question anyway as I have exhausted myself in trying to find the answer myself. In the last 3 days I have been feeling this weird "fluttering" or "vibration" in my lower abdomen; right lower area of my pelvic bone. It was happening here and there in the last few days, but today it has been a constant of every 5 seconds. It does not hurt in any way, but just VERY annoying. It does not matter whether I am sitting down, laying down or walking. It's as if I have my cell phone is on vibrate and I keep trying to grab my phone, realizing thtat I don't have my phone on me! If this sounds crazy, let me know. If you know something or experienced it yourself, let me know. Other wise, I am sitting here buzzing away!

What are your experiences with positives and negatives. I REALLY want to quit, and so far nicotine replacement has not helped (in the past) Is this the magic pill everyone claims?
