I have this really painful bruise on my knee, from hitting it on a piano bench the other night. Its not very big, but it hurts a lot. Anyway, i was noticing that if i touch the bruise it hurts, but if i pull the skin up, so that the bruise itself is in a different place, but then poke the same place as the bruise was originally, that doesnt hurt at all.
Can someone explain why that is to me?

I mean there is a visible bruise. what im saying is its just the skin that covers my knee. the bone is fine. im just curious as to how that could have happened, since its a pretty bad bruise.

You might have bruised the bone of your knee and not just the muscle. This happened to me once. I had x-rays done on my foot b/c it hurt really bad but there was no visible bruise. My doctor said I bruised the bone. It's nothing major to worry about but I would go see your doctor.
