Drink lots of fluids, prune juice is suppose to help. A lot of people eat food that normally gives them diaherria to counteract the constipation. Like Taco Bell.
Exercise helps to get things moving. If that fails, get something from the pharmacy like exlax, a pharmacist can also help you, or see a doctor if it persists. Prolonged constipation can be serious.

There is one thing that works the best, and that is a product called FLEET, you can buy it at the drugstore, and one half bottle of that, mixed with water, then drink one more glass of water, and in 30 minutes, look out. I use this product, to clean out my colon once a year, and I mean, it works. My diet has a lot of fruit and veggies, but within a year, wow, how things can build up inside there. If she does take this FLEET, do not leave the house for a couple of hours, and she will have major relief.

Well you could always drink orange with milk to give her diarea but hmm... drink a lot of water and cut back on the salt that's my opinion usually when I get constipated which sometimes happens to everyone I just wait it off and stop eating heavy foods like red meat and stuff, eat something lighter like salad or something.

Plenty of water, foods high on fiber, Prune juice, consuming more vegetables and fruit, whole meal bread and by adding linseeds to one's diet. Also Enemas can be used to provide a form of mechanical stimulation to help her get the feces out of her body, if not she will need to seek medical attention.

Have her take lots of fibre in her diet. In the meantime try something like Metamucil.
