I do hot soaks, and have it covered with neosporin and a bandage which i change in the morning, after work and after my shower and i leave it open a while to air out. What should i do? Thanks

you should call your doc and see what he/she says. they might want you to come back in, or they might give you some advice to help it heal.

Hope you feel better!!

Honestly, I was going to suggest soaks, Neosporin, and airing it out! If none of that is working, you might need another antibiotic cream. I'd go to the doctor again. Sorry :( I'm sure thats not what you wanted to hear!

This sort of minor surgery usually heals in 7-10 days. I would suggest you call your doctor and get a same day response. S/he may want to see you again or may give you some advice on the phone.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. You aren't diabetic are you? Foot problems are prevalent in diabetics. It's important to keep the wound dry as much as possible, because feet sweat maybe you should look into some different socks for a while. Just wear white cotton socks.

Try putting some foot powder in your sock before you go to work, that will help heep out moisture, when you soak it do it with warm water and epsom salts...hope that helps!

there are also some socks made by nike that keep moisture away.

Go see the doctor that removed the toe nail before it gets worse.
Good luck.
