I'm sure that many people are posting on the bug bites this time of year. But my issue is that it is only me that gets bit. Ron and I stand on the same porch, sit on the same couch, sleep in the same bed, and I am the only one who gets bit!!! I wake up with spider bites. And when we are outside, i come in with many mosquito bites, but he never gets bit!! Why? Do bugs really pick and choose who they bite? And how do I stop it?

Sorry, I forgot to mention. I cannot use bug spray. We run a reptile rescue, and the Iguanas are very sensitive to chemicals. Also, I was told that if I spray around my house, we will have more Brown Recluse spiders, and they frighten me. lol. I will have to try the tree oil though. Any other ideas?

Yes bugs do to some extent select who they are going to bite.
They seem to like certain blood types more than others, plus many bugs go for smell.

Try putting a drop of Tea Tree Oil on the nape of your neck, they don't like it!

Good luck

Bugs are attracted to human aromas and like some more than others. Spider bites can be dangerous. Use a bug spray in the house, leave for several hours. then air it out and check to see what bugs died. Use bug repellant outside.

You could try rubbing yourself with vinegar: That will also repel insects. Or try taking b-suppliment vitamins: Just a couple of days ago I heard that makes people less tasty to biting bugs.
