How did it go for you? Story?

Just wondering who else out there deals with it. I blew a disk wide open 4 years ago. For 18 months I could not even sit down.

Last year I hyper-extended my knee whenever I fell while skating. It wasn't too bad, but it sure hurt for about a week and a half, and I didn't have 100% motion. Then about one month later I fell on it again, this time my leg bent, my butt landed on my foot while my knee took the impact to the ground. Hurt like hell for another couple of days. As of late I've been riding my bicycle regularly, I haven't experienced any problems until I started to jog at the nearest track. I've only done 1 mile each time and it was only twice. But now my knee is like it was a year ago. It's ok to move with normal motion, but when I twist my leg it puts a lot of pressure on the outer side. If kneel all the way down it puts a lot of pressure between the femur and tibia. I've scheduled an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, but it isn't for another two weeks. If the ACL or MCL is damaged, even from last year..... well, I;m freaking out here. Am I ever going to be able to run again?

I just had a triple bypass and am doing great--although the pain in my high chest and arms kills me when i try and do light activity---I dont know if i have overdone it or if that is just something that has to heal? feels like ive done about 1000 pullups or something--I started doing some light housework --;loading the dishwasher, laundry--stuff like that but nothing real strenuous.....if anyone has a similar experience to share and maybe give me some sort of idea about what is going on at this point in my recovery, im about 9 days out post op--thanks and have a great weekend!

I broke my ankle 6 week's ago. I had to have surgery and now I have 2 screws in it. I was never in a plaster cast or a fiberglass cast. The doctor gave me a aircast (moonboot). I have heard from many people and read it usually take's 6-8 weeks to heal. Am I correct. My doctor never told me how long.

1. Im going to the doc next week. Do you think I will get the aircast off?

2. How long will it be until I can take my 40 minute walk's everyday again?

3. Will I need therapy?

People who adknowlege my question thanks. No ignorant answers telling me to ask my doctor and not ask on here... Duh thats common sense but I'm really stressed about this and can't wait until next week.

Hi people I usually sit at a computer all day and study as well, and I get this thing near my shoulders that people call stress point, it feels like a bumb, or better yet like a ball of stressed out muscles, you know the bumb I speak of when you pass your hands on your back shoulder.

Yeah and it kills me and my neck cracks a million times a day.
Can I do anyting about this shoulder problem.

Ow yeah and wait most importantly, my shoulders feel like the world is on it, like a 1000 pounds and when I massage lower down the shoulder blades it feels light again.

Please can someone tell me if there is a simple solution to this stress problem. Please I am beggin.

In November, my knee became painful. In January I went to the Doctor who diagnosed arthritis, without even touching my knee. He sent me for X-rays, which show nothing. Because I was in pain he decided to inject the knee, but it didn't help I asked to be referred to a physio, to see if exercises would help.
After the injection I thought my leg was a bit swollen, but he didn't seem that worried. Yesterday I actually got to see the physio and he took one look at my leg and freaks. I have fat legs, I hadn't realised that my leg was actually quite swollen. The physio phoned the doctor, and now I'm being referred to both the orthopaedic surgeon, and someone to look at the circulation in my leg. The physio thinks that there may be damage to the cartilage and a Bakers cyst, rather than arthritis.
Do you think a physio will know better than my GP?
What can I expect from the specialists?
Should I be worried about the swelling, its not red or painful?
Any guesses to what this is?
