Hi, my friends mother has had a host of mental and physical problems. She's at the point where she needs permanent care. She's had everything from seizures and strokes to severe bladder trouble. Her mind is also starting to go. Her daughter is doing her best to take care of her but she really needs help. The patient is 58 years old and really needs to be in a nursing home. She is on medicaid, and will get medicare next month. Her zipcode is 60411 in Illinois. The problem is, from what I'm told, a lot of nursing homes don't take patients untill they are around 63. I'm wondering what can be done about this because she really needs to be in a home, she is in and out of the hospital a few times a month. Any information on homes that accept younger patients in the general area, and what the requirements are, etc, would be very much appreciated.

its a very funny incident. i was very scared of needles n injections that doctors use.
when i was just 8 yr old, my mom took me to doctor for injection. i was not aware of that, but when i came to knew that i started shouting very loudly
it was impossible for doctor to give me injection, so my mom had to clamp her hand on my mouth to smother my screams. she kept her hand tightly pressed on my mouth until doctor was finished with his job
if she wouldnt had covered my mouth, i would have created a scene out there coz i was screaming really hard
this incident really makes me laugh till now
and what more, it was winter season that time and my mom was wearing thick skin tight leather gloves. now just tell me, is it possible for 8 yr old to make a noise in that situation?
my screams were totally suffocated.
do u think that my mom did the right thing at that moment? n why?

i have asked this question in d category" jokes n riddles". but it can be put in this category also.

I was woken up the other night to searing pain. The muscles in my right leg were tightened and not relaxing. I rolled out of bed and lay on the floor for about a min till it went away. Do anyone know what the cause of this is and is there any danger to my health?

Hi, My father is 87 years old and he needs medical care. His legs burn at night. I was wondering what is the best country I can go to, to get medical care for the lowest cost. I heard for instance that India has some great hospitals, for 1/4 the price of a similar hospital in the U.S.
Thank You

with other problems. I was then referred to the most wonderful pain management doctor. He has tried everything from 45 lsb's 1 rftc, lyrica, cymbalta, you name it. I just completed a trial for a spine cord stimulator and it made me very nervous. The jury is still out on the scs. Anyone got any other ideas. Has anyone received disability? My employer sent me for a fitness for duty exam which was strictly psychological. I am to the point after 27 years at the same job I can retire however I do not want to jump the gun.

I recently read an article about seaweed wraps. It claimed that you lose inches, but it also eases the pain associated with arthritis. Has anyone ever tried this and if so, did it relieve the pain???

Has anyone ever had the problem of your hair breaking off at any given time in the center of your scalp. My hair will grow and then snap off in the middle. I'm not sure if its when I'm stressed out or not. I have resorted to putting a pony tail in to cover the round gap in the middle. I have just started to use Dr. Miracle's temple and nape to see if this works.

I am taking Tegretol for treatment of TN. The Tegretol works for the TN, but when I take I feel this great pressure inside my head. I feel like my head is going to explode. This pressure is not pain, but it is intense. Is this a common side effect, because sometimes I don't know which is worse. If I don't take the Tegretol, I need to take Tremmil and Toradol injections.
My doctor said there is a medication out, that not on the PBS health system yet. Does anyone know what this is? I have searched web sites and have found nothing. Please help!
I have prevously tried, massage, Reike, and Steroid injection into a trigger point without succuss.
Thanks to all who answer.

Im having a dull ache below my sternum. It just started a few days ago. Seems it hurts when I lay down (bc I sleep on my stomach) and also when I eat or drink anything. I cant tell if its coming from my sternum, muscles, or GI tract.... I've been reading on the Mayo Clinic site, but I couldnt find anything specifically embodying my symptoms.

The closest thing I found was Costochondritis. (Bc it feels more like a muscle ache than anything... It isnt a burning feeling, but more like a pressure that comes and goes every 5 minutes or so... and its been like this for a few days, so its not a heart attack.... plus its below my sternum (breast bone)... not in my chest cavity...

If you guys can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thx so much!

I thought I had tendontis, but not sure. I get stiffness and pins and needles in my fingers some nights while sleeping. Could this be RSI or carpal tunnel sydrome? I rest my arm quite a bit, but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?
