I thought I had tendontis, but not sure. I get stiffness and pins and needles in my fingers some nights while sleeping. Could this be RSI or carpal tunnel sydrome? I rest my arm quite a bit, but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

You definitely need some therapy to work out the muscles. It is possible that you have tendinitis, from your description that's what it sounds like. I recommend you see a chiropractor as they specialize in these types of problems. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

Could be both. I had pain in my shoulder and neck and then I started getting tingling in my arm and fingers. Every day when I woke up my arm would be dead.
Unfortunately when it's got this far the only thing that's going to really help is physiotherapy. You can do excercises yourself too, but I would really suggest you get it looked at before it gets worse. I ended up not being able to move my arm without crying before I saw someone! 3 months later and I'm nearly healed. Oh, and the doctor offered me a cortisone injection in my shoulder, which I refused as I was trying to get pregnant. The therapy worked without drugs in the end anyway.
