How long does it usually take for a bruised ankle to heal or return to sport?

My sister who is in jail was given medication by a regular gaurd. the medication was oxycodone. Is that right that any regular gaurd can give medication? What if she were given the wrong stuff, someone elses meds? Is there any thing that can be done about it?

i played highschool wrestling for the season, but when it was done my lower right back has been aching. it has been an on an off thing after wrestling. should i stop doing pushups or crunches, situps? i tried the hot/cold packs but it just still aches. it doesnt feel like it's broken or sprained. what should i do?

while out with family this pass weekend at our city zoo, i walked about 2 miles and later that evening and every day after i have not been able to bend my right knee, walk on it, also the back of my knee is sore to. i am in alot pain. i have been to the doctor in the past and have been treated with shots to the knees and he dones't think at this point i need a knee placement.

Ok my cat bit me about 4 days ago and I didn't go to the doctor b/c each day my hand seemed to be getting better, like the redness on my hand went away, the swelling is just starting to go down and it doesn't hurt as much. One of the puncture wounds is at the bottom of my knuckle and it looks infected and all around that area like on my knuckle and part of my hand is bruised. Is this normal, is it healing?

My right ear will not pop and has been days amd i flew on three plans and it starts again when i start to land, i cannot sleep it will not pop at all not once everything sounds loud in my head and everything is so quiet around ive tried aphodine(i think thas it) and some allergy med. and NOTHING works, IT BUGS, im 15 and it jus freaks me out, ive tried gum, eatin, swallowin, holdin nose, harden tounge, i sound half deaf and it REALLY REALLY REALLY bugs I need help FAST thanks. I had a root canal done on Friday & since then my jaw has been very tender & sore. My mouth is actually getting quite infected at this point because at night I have been grinding my teeth (and cheek: also taking out chunks of it). I know it all sounds grosse but I really need help with the matter.

I've rinsed with warm, salt water. I've been taking T3's, extra strength advil, and extra-strength aspirin (and also antibiotics) that the doctor prescribed.

I'm still swollen, hurting, and out of pills at this point.
Any ides?

I realize it could be as simple as gas pain, but when I have that, its usually more in the central area of my stomach, and not concentrated just on one side or the other. I know if it gets real bad I am smart enough to go to the ER, but until then, I'm just curious what could be causes of it. Oh, and I am a woman, so I am entertaining the possibility of female problems. Oh and it is not that time of the month.

I am 12 years old but i get migranes and smaller headaches. my doctor might give me medicine for the migranes but the smaller ones are annoying and i can't take like tylenol during school or anything. is there a food i can carry around in my purse or put in my locker if i get a headache? even some pressure point or something that actually works would be OK. please help!

I have heard you can get a prescription online, but I have also heard how unsafe they are. I have been to several different doctors and all originally put me on Pain meds but they haven't been able to figure out what is causeing the pain and have eventually taken me off them causeing me to switch doctors over and over, now my insurance is flagging me saying there is no evidence that I need pain relief, my only response is to tell them I know my body and what I feel and I can barely function because of the pain but when I have used the pain meds I feel much better. I don't think this is fair, and don't need the hassels, If my pain can't be diagnosed I should at least have access to pain relief medicines. Is it really legal to obtain them online, if so where is a legitamate place to get them.

I sprained my right wrist 3 years ago, and having been through physio, rest & 2 steroid jabs. I finally had surgery 8 weeks ago. I was splinted for 2 weeks and told to go easy for the 3rd week then left to sort it out myself. After it getting no better after 4 weeks I got a physio appointment, but all the non-specialists seem hazy on details as to what exactly I should expect. I can't get to see a specialist for at least another month.

I had my first & second compartments released and I am still getting a lot of pain. Last week I couldn't get to sleep because of the pain. I'm taking ibroprufen, regularly gently massaging area, icing and doing simple exercises daily. Should my pain be still that the first thing I notice when I wake up is the pain in my wrist? How long should it be until I notice a significant improvement?

Any information would be appreciated as the net seems a bit sparse on this topic.
