The pills are 5 years old? Throw them out and get some new ones. The chemical structure of the pills changes and they can make you very sick. Get rid of them. They have an expiration date for a reason.
Geeez, don't be cheap. Go buy a new bottle.

You need to contact your pediatritian before giving that to him. There are medications for small children that are more appropriate than adult Tylenol PM.
If you can't sleep because of serious pain, why are you asking if you can give a child Tylenol PM????? Are you wanting the child to go to sleep too?????

Those pills are not going to hurt you if you take them but chances are, they are so old they have lost some or all of their potency and won't help you. Go ahead and try, but don't expect them to really have the effect you are looking for. Maybe your doctor can help you get something better. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Actually its not a big deal to take expired pills, though you will prob find that they dont work as the chemicals are broken down and they no longer do what they are supposed to do but I doubt its bad.

The worst thing that can happen is that you can ruin your liver.
This is a question for a doctor, not YA.

The medicine could be so weakened there would be no point in taking it. Flush it and buy new.
