Yeah, sorry about that. I just lost my temper...
But seriously, it could be anything from a swelling caused by impact to a cyst (cysts are usually not harmful but can be painful. A simple procedure removes the fluid and clears it right up). The pins and needles in your hands could just be a co-incidence. I quite often wake up in the night with pins and needles in either of my arms but that's because I sleep in a weird position and usually lay on it, making it go numb!
Go to the doctor,; I don't think this is anything serious, but you might as well have it checked- that's where your taxes go isn't it?

I dont think the pins and needles caused the bump, I think the pins and needles are cuased by the bump.
It sounds like you have either a swelling caused by a bruse or infection, or a growth- like a cyst or even tumor -cancerous or not.
I think you should see a doctor, it may well go away with time, but by the sound of it its putting pressure on your blood suply in your head and this may cause you to black out or collapse.
Having said all this, there is no conclusive evidence to say the pins and needles are anything other than lieing down to sleep in an odd position and waking up with pins and needles-which can happen!

None - sorry. You should see a doctor though. I do know that people with high blood pressure get the pins & needles feeling in their fingers/toes.

If you havent hit your head it could possibly be a bug bite. Horse flies do that to me. Im not sure if the "pins and needles" have anything to do with it. Could be two seperate things.

I think there is quite a bit of garbage in the replies.
Why on earth don't you see a doctor?

You could have a cyst, which could or could not be cancerous. If it rolls when you touch it, and it is tender. It is possible it is a cyst. Go see your medical doctor and have him look at it. Your doctor may take it out and have it tested for cancer.
