he does have 2 broken ribs but they said that they can't do anything but prescribe his pain meds. Can this cause other problems other health issues -how long does it take to heal?

My mom has *severe* arthritis in both knees. Sometimes she'll take a Lortab 10 and three Advil at night but *still* has constant pain that keeps her awake.

Any suggestions?

It's a strange injury I have. One minute it hurts bad and I limp in pain, the next it it totally fine. there is no swelling or discoloring. What set it off this time was a simple run on a tread mill. But I've had the same pain there off and on for some years. All I can imagine the original souse to be is too much skate boarding as a youth or possible it was a reaction to a year in which I avoided using it because of a fractured bone in the foot.

I worry a lot. I'm 22 and I have more gray hairs on my head than most of my much older co-workers. I wake up really early (5ish) and go to sleep really late (1ish) in an effort to get as much done as possible. I get mad at myself when things don't get done and stress out to meet both professional and personal deadlines. I cry a lot (Out of frustration) I can't remember the last time I wasn't worried. Recently i've been feeling really sharp pains in my abdomen. They come and go but when they hit...I'm not even able to stand up. What would you say this sounds like? How can I treat it?

I live in Belgium. Each month I have to have an injection. (Not just any injection. The biggest, fattest injection you ever saw. Really needs to be done by a doctor or nurse.)

In August I will be in America. They will never let me on the plane with such a needle. I cannot check it, because the medecine cannot be shaken up or it becomes unusable (and with the tossing of cargo bags...). There's no way a pharmacy in the US will fill a foreign prescription is there?

I suppose I could go to a US doctor with a note and prescription from my Belgian doctor, try to order the medicine from him/her and go back for the injection. However, if I could avoid this costly route it'd be great (as the doc will surely charge me an office visit just to explain and rewrite the prescription, then probably again to administer it.)

Any creative ideas how to resolve this?

I have got a permanant pain in my shoulder. It doesn't move smoothly, it grinds and clicks when I move it, sometimes I have so much pain to the point of being sick. The doctor said it was from an injury, but I dont know what, or how to fix it. He gave me some exercises, and it didn't do the job. I have had pain for 9 months now.

I also have had a heart aneurysm recently, I dont know if it is connected to my heart. They both started around the same time, I went originally to see the doctor about my shoulder and they found the problem with my heart. could it be connected??

I'm only 27 and female, so it's quite rare for me to have a heart aneurysm. Could they both be from the same injury? what can i do with it lol

ok when i was two i was rolling off the bed and my sister grab me by the foot and then my mom came in and asked her what she was doing and she got scared and dropped me and i hit my head. Now im 18 and i have this weird dent there and didnt really think anything of it until last year where its starting to feel weird when i touch it. and when i lay down and something presses it i get headachs. when i touch it its not pain its just tender and i get a werid feeling. what should i do and does anyone else have something similar?

I've got bad knees. I am in a full-body, hard-core sport. When I do the warm up jog, which is only about 5-10 minutes, my left knee will start to hurt. I played basketball for about four years but I don't remember ever hurting them but my dad says that I did. I don't really know how to phrase my question without actually seeing you face to face. Ok, so I thought I was a headache expert. I've been having migraines for a VERY long time. I've got a neurologist who has me on topamax for them. It's been working. I was having about 5 serious migraines a week...now maybe 1 every 2 weeks, sometimes they last a while though. Anyways, new problem. I got a headache last night that started on the back left side of my head, a small area. It was really painful and I actually checked my head to see if I had a bump or something. It hurt! Well, then it did the weirdest thing...it MOVED to the front left side! I got dizzy from this and almost had my husband take me to the hospital. I don't feel you should go to the ER though, unless it's an emergency! I didn't think it was. So, went to sleep, woke up with a pounding headache, not quite a migraine, still hurt like hell though. I'm waiting for my Dr to call me back, usually takes a while. Does anybody know what this is? I've never had anything like this and I've had all kinds of headaches! Thanks

I get these pains in my left arm and it kind of goes numb and then this pain in my chest like someone is stabbing me with needles and get short of breath a little. It goes away within 3-5 mins usually. It's been happening ever since I went to hospital for tachycardia, which was 2-3 weeks ago, but the doctors said there was nothing wrong. It happens wherever, such as at home, at a friends place, out at the mall, like anywhere. Is this like anxiety or stress thats doing this, even though I don't feel axnxious or stressed...?

im 20 years old, when i was 15 i had a fall and twisted my back ever since i have had back pains it wasnt to bad but now i have it all the time. i looked at my back in the mirror and notice the middle to the bottom of my back bends inwards which i think is why i get so much pain. I cant sleep, move or anything without it hurting.I have been to the doctor but he hasnt really looked at my back and all he does is give me different pain killers but none of them work anymore. the top of my back is slightly bent as my shoulders are bent forward and not in the top where they are ment to be ( If that makes sence) i just wondered if there was an operation or something i can have to straighten my back. Im just worried the pain will get worse as i get older, or if i get pregnant or something my back wont handle it. Any suggestions or anything?
